Fish will be off the deeper weed edges. You'll also wanna upsize your presentation. Fish are trying to fatten up for the winter, they won't waste the energy to chase a 3inch stickbait While you upsize your bait, you'll also wanna slow it down a tad (Depending on the water temp)

SNAG, good call on pinching the barbs. Anytime I am fishing smaller streams for trout, the barbs are always pinched, regardless if the regs call for it or not. Really reduces the damage to the fish.

Vis wasn't to bad up here, just way to much flow unfortunately... No fish holding, they just blew all the way up the system with all the rain.

There is a place I go to watch the steelies later in the season try to make it up a certain river.. I could sit there for hours watching them.. Great pics!

Not needed at all.. Now if you are fishing gin clear water, you'll most likely have more hookups if you are running a flouro leader, but I know guys that never use it regardless of water clarity.. They make out ok

Those first two fish(not the whities) are Atlantics for sure, look at the spots and the size of the mouths. Last skinny fish looks to be a chinny.

I used a Citica for a good 2 years before upgrading to a Calais.. Great reel for the price.
