The sad part is my oldman and I used to icefish all the time... He's got a 12inch power auger down stairs, all the rods, tipups, etc etc.. I'll have to get him back out on Simcoe this year for some perch... I still need to get him out for some steel! But it might be a bit to cold for him.

I don't think that type of float is geared towards steelhead fishing.. We are all about a natural presentation....

Jim, I'd be super pissed if I was in your situation. One of the main selling points of the boat (at least for you) was the amount of available storage.. Personally I wouldn't settle for a boat with less storage after the recall is done. You are in all reality getting a completely different boat back... Either they add the foam in the not so easy to get into spaces, without affecting the current storage, or they give you a complete refund... Just my 2 cents, I hope you make out ok!

The reason why I like them so much is that it doesn't take much current, or a fast retrieve to get the blade going.. I love fan casting these things and letting them sit infront of log jams, etc...
