  1. I contacted Aikemans to order a part for my Calais. Took my credit card info over the phone, got the park in about a week and a half.
  2. Man, your freezer must be FULL of fish! Glad the kids are having fun.
  3. Sweet, any pics? Any size to them?
  4. Sounds like a problem with your phones GPS, not the mapping software.
  5. I'm going to add it to the list man, that just looks unbelievably good. All those browns on dries? I think I'd be in heaven! I'll drop you a PM with a few questions
  6. Oh man, this probably my fav report yet for 2011!!!!! Just awesome!! I should make use of my NYS license more often, lol
  7. A bit of green water on my Calais after the first few casts, but nothing like PPro.. Also noticed a waxy black substance come off the line while I was filling the reel. Really enjoy the line, definitely casts further then the 20lb Suffix Siege I had on there. No complaints from me.
  8. Opposite side. You'll never see a rod go off if it's right behind you Plus you can still drive the boat and have the rod/rigger in your peripheral vision... You can also make up a rigger mount with a piece of 2x8 and run them right across the back. Lots of options.
  9. If this discourages the white bucket brigade, I am all for it.
  10. If you can't properly identify a fish, you shouldn't be fishing for anything. Great idea.
  11. If I was going to bring it on a plane, I'd just duct tape the removable end like crazy.
  12. White (thin wall) PVC tubing with a removal lid on one end. I think it cost me about $15 to make.
  13. I bought the portable softcase kit for my Humminbird 747c for ice fishing. I've also used it for flyin trips as well. The kit comes with everything you need (case, battery, recharger also the suction cup mounts)..
  14. 5'6 Ultralight (Clarus or a Heartland) combined with a Shimano Saros 1000F (750 body, 1000 series spool) running 4lb mono. Perfect small stream trout setup. You could go with a small Sahara and save yourself some $$$ if you had to.
  15. Tried the Suffix 832 on my Calais last weekend for the first time. Casts like a dream!
  16. Carnies!!!!! Do they still smell like cabbage? lol!!!
  17. Depends on the branch, most banks have Saturday hours, hell some even Sunday!
  18. Do you both use the same bank chain? If so they could verify the funds in about 2 mins.
  19. All this for $0.30 and some BPS points?
  20. It's like a never ending list, lol!!!
  21. Most of my Zara Spooks are missing eyes and half their paint due to these toothy critters, lol. I can't complain though! Nothing beats a topwater strike!
  22. The problem comes when you want to stop, not when you want to start Like everyone has said, make sure the trailer has brakes, get the upgraded towing package for the van and you should be golden.
  23. The OP's numbers do not add up. Impossible to pay a $900 mortgage on a 240k home with zero down even with a amortization period of 30 years and the lowest interest rate currently available (Closed variable @ 3%) This doesn't even take into consideration taxes, CMHC fees and all the other crap that comes along with it. I'd find a house with a bunch of buddies and enjoy your college life. You've got all kinds of time to play grownup once you graduate and join the working force
  24. Weather like this brings out the bugs! (aka hatches) No complaints from me.
  25. I've caught some really big pike on topwater, probably 75% of my pike come on a topwater of some sort. But it's all when and where.. Tossing them in the spring time is going to lead you nowhere. Watch the water temps, you'd be amazed at how deep those gators will come from to smash a Zara Spook. Hell, my first muskie was on a Zara Spook off of a weedline going from 15 > 30ft of water.
