  1. It's definitely going to be interesting in the middle of July from a canoe You'd probably be better off fishing smallmouth.
  2. Cool, I thought they would have stuck to stocking local fish in that thing. I'll have to look for that beast the next time I'm at BPS!
  3. This is another reason why I have rider insurance on all my gear. If you don't, you should.
  4. I cross the chains and hook from the bottom. They have spring loaded clips on them as well, similar to a carabiner.
  5. It's not going to hurt a thing. Most synthetic premixes are compatible with conventional premix oils.. What does the bottle say?
  6. Give Hitch City a call. Installing a hitch is a pretty simple process. I definitely wouldn't let anyone at Crappy Tire lay a hand on my car.
  7. It's a great choice man, you won't regret it.
  8. Your battery would fall under the 'standard' category.
  9. Nice muskie! (No need for the Boga grip, they won't kill you )
  10. I love fishing that stretch of river. Doesn't get much fishing pressure considering the amount of boat traffic.
  11. Wow, she running a 1D or similar with some L glass attached? eek
  12. Pick each one up and see how you like the ergonomics..
  13. Yup.. I think it's the 'limpness' of this new line that's most likely the issue. When wet it likes to lay down on the blank anytime there is slack and wraps itself up. Perhaps I'll have to try some on my spinning outfits and see how it goes. Perhaps maybe even moving up to 30-40lb might help on the baitcaster, currently running 20lb.
  14. New rod? No, I've landed hundreds of fish on this thing. Only thing new in the equation is the line
  15. When I bring a fish in, it sounds just like any other braid does. I'm sure the guys fishing it with spinning rods have less issues with guide wrap then the baitcast guys do seeing that their guides are usually highframe and way off the blank.
  16. They are hitting just fine. Switch up your techniques.
  17. Baitcaster.. 6lb Fireline Crystal on my spinning rigs. LunkerHunter: I didn't have any issues with line twist either It's the fact that it's wrapping around the guides that I (and Terry) have an issue with. Maybe to limp for it's own good
  18. I think a lot of people here better get on the tournament trail with the amount of fish they are catching, lol. This sounds a lot like steelhead fishing
