I can cast 1/4oz lures with my Calais no problem.. Dunno if I'd try an 1/8oz jig though. Definitely easier with a spinning setup.

I've never bottom bounced with anything but a spinning rod. If you are letting your entire rig 'crash to the bottom' it isn't the rod or reels fault, lol.

All depends on the type of fishing you are doing. Both setups excel at certain things.

No one is drinking 50 of anything in one day, non alcoholic or not...

I love using Gulp leeches on work harnesses.. They last so much longer then worms... When you're in a fly-in lake and the worms are running low, gulp is a great alternative.
