  1. Nice fish man!!!
  2. I'll make sure to pick your brain before I go! lol
  3. I usually start in 20ft and go all the way out to 60+. I sometimes get the odd laker as well in the mix. Here's a pic of the graph on one of those days
  4. Nice man! I was in Hartley Bay all of last week. The walleyes were on fire. 40-50 fish days were easy, although getting something bigger then the 23.6in slot was tough. All deep for the most part to, 25-50ft. Couldn't crack that nut all week. I got 2 blowups when fishing muskies and that's it for me. Thinking of trying the West Arm the next time I get a week off.
  5. The channel from HH, north through Tomahawk island can be insane. if I fish that area, I'm out before the sun comes up, lol! Lots of lakers in GBay, even down the HH way.
  6. Bow for sure.
  7. Got a late start yesterday and the bite lasted maybe an hour but the lady friend got herself into a big GBay laker Long weekend traffic out there was crazy. Also got stopped by a CO checking licenses, had a quick chat, talked some fishing and he was on his way. 34inches on the tape.
  8. Braid belongs on the dipsys, I wouldn't run braid on any of my rigger rods. For them, they get 30-40lb Trilene Big Game. Thicker the line the lower the amount of fleas you'll get on them.
  9. Don't forget the Baileys for coffee in the morning.
  10. No need to be driving around with a livewell full of fish all day. Why not a marshal for each boat, weigh and release?
  11. Early Sept I'd be vertical jigging bass with big flutter spoons. You'll find wolfpacks of them just roaming around. My fav time of year to be fishing smallies. I won't even start fishing until I've marked them however. Definitely a cat and mouse game.
  12. Find the weed edges, find the muskie.
  13. 4th link that came up on Google search... Collins Bay wharf is good for pike, bass and pan fish. Elevator Bay (Dupont / Invista) for carp, pan fish and at times, good pike. 1000 King St area behind buildings and townhouses for pike and bass. Portsmouth Harbor used to be good at the end of the long wharf area and along it for pike and bass. I've caught some great fish pretty much all around this area and in the latter summer / fall, walleye will come into harbor in the evening.
  14. Yup, don't even bother replying.
  15. It's not pigeon, but if you find those weed edges I'm willing to bet you'll find the crappies. Lunker City fin-S minnows are my fav on a 1/8oz head.
  16. Dr spoons, anything with orange for pike and big Williams whitefish as well (Yes you can cast these) As for the walleye, don't over pack for those things, lol. I use nothing but ice fishing spoons for them
  17. Nice truck Lew!
  18. I've been laying the smack down on big slabs since the start of July. I can't catch them in the spring for ****! Weed edges in the 8-15ft range morning and early evening. It's a gongshow one minute and the next it's over. I've catch them in the exact same spots year after year. Also bonus walleyes as well. I find they much prefer edges compared to being deep in the thick stuff. And they'll definitely suspend over open water as well.
  19. I can't believe he's still the GM in Montreal, lol
  20. I remember hunting leopard frogs at night for the old man to use the next day. I never could, I'd usually just release them
  21. Bass always miss the frog, it's apart of the game.
  22. Not surprised, the garbage people left there was ridiculous.
  23. Saw almost 80 yesterday evening on the upper Severn. Crappies were already in the spots I was hoping they were, lol!
  24. Picking which remote I use really depends on what I'm fishing for. I've got the first gen I-Pilot Link remote (big LCD screen), the micro remote (small pocket sized remote) and the foot pedal for the Terrova. If I'm fishing fast, casting the shore line or weed edges, it's the foot pedal. If I'm moving from spot to spot vertical jigging or casting to specific stuff it's the micro remote. If I'm veritcal fishing lakers or bass in the fall and moving in between way points, it's the full size Link remote. I've got a use for each of them.
