  1. He'd be better off with a handheld Garmin unit and Bluecharts. I wouldn't trust a cellphone to tell me where/how deep I am.
  2. Mike, check out the Sylvan 1600 DC.
  3. Weather isn't going to be on your side this weekend. 80 degrees on Sat with sun. Better get there early!
  4. Dave, that river still hasn't coughed up a brownie for me yet, lol!!! Great job man! That brookie is about as good as it gets!
  5. If you get hiking boots from Walmart, make sure to drill in some drain holes or you'll be walking around with boots full of water all day. Also pick up some sheet metal screws and drill them into the soles.
  6. If you have some J13's, toss those.. Especially in the fire tiger pattern.
  7. Yeah, there are only a few and they are pretty far away from where I am. Unless I get a smoking deal, I'll stick closer to home
  8. I just checked the Lowrance site and that transducer is compatible with the HDS units.
  9. Henry those pins are spaced way bigger then the female side of the plug. No way that's going to fit (Unless it's going to be a really snug fit) Did they give you the wrong transducer?
  10. So what happened to the truck?
  11. Great post, although after doing some reading it looks like things have changed sine 2006. I don't think a recall letter is required when importing a boat (Only a vehicle).. I need the title to both the trailer/boat and a bill of sale of each.
  12. Good advice Frank, for pier chucking the 10' Shimano Convergence (which is about $70) is a great stick. Combine that with a 2500 Series reel and you are set.
  13. Nice boat, but not what I'm looking for I appreciate all the advice guys!
  14. If you are going to be casting off the piers, you'd be better off to wait until the spring (Or get down there right now!)
  15. This place is like crack.
  16. I think 8k is a very good price for that boat. Good job!
  17. Big and slow depending on water temps. I'd be concentrating on the breaks and the rock/weedline transitions.
  18. Been searching Walleye Central as well.. Lots and lots of big tillers! (Looking for a full windshield)
  19. YOU JUST SPOILED THE ENTIRE LAKE ONTARIO STEELHEAD FISHERY BY POSTING PICS FROM THAT SUPER DUPER SECRET SPOT!!!!! Nice fish dude!
  20. Mike runs standard laces on his Simms boots if I'm not mistaken (I rarely watch him suit up, lol!!!) I run standard laces on my Simms G4 Guideboots and no complaints. Although I dunno how the BOA system would handle all the rocks/mud/sand/crap it would encounter.
  21. Well it looks like the deal will be sealed this weekend for our Legend tiller. Now it's time to find something new! Even with the exchange you can't touch the prices down in the US (Sorry Canadian boat dealers!) and my oldman doesn't want to spend a fortune. I'm hoping to do a private sale (more haggle room) and am wondering what resources you guys have used to find your boats? I have been searching SiteMash a bit, but lots and lots of dealers. We don't mind driving to get a great deal and I already am familiar with the process required to bring it back over the border (Imported my oldmans Duramax from Florida).. If anyone could recommend some places for me to look, I'd appreciate it!
  22. Any chance the OP was reading Kpa and not PSI on the tire gauge? :)
  23. No way the pressure doubled. You might see a few psi at most (10% as mentioned before) when hot vs cold.
  24. Boot foots are good when it's super cold, but you'll sweat your balls off using those in the fall. They are absolutely NOT breathable, lol.
