  1. You're still asking guys to tell you the best lakes to fish, lol. There is a reason why it's called fishing and not catching. Go give it a shot, make some notes and if it doesn't work out do something different next year.
  2. Never had an issue with weeds.
  3. It's the hippies and nomads that hang out at the 5 Point Rizzo, lol!!!
  4. It doesn't get much simpler then this.. Never had an issue with it, boat trolls down to nothing when it's down. So much easier then using a bucket or drift sock. One pull of the cord while in reverse it's down, one pull of the cord while going forward and it locks in place out of the way.
  5. Also watch out for candy being whipped into the run by your buddies, lol! I've been the victim of more then one chum attack.
  6. 30sec, ISO100, I think around f11 or so with my EF-S 10-22mm. I'd love to figure out how Brandon gets those killer milky way shots!
  7. I usually water harden and that's it.. I never cure brown or steelie roe. A good rule to follow is this. If the water is stained (8-12inches of vis) You'll wanna run bigger/brighter bags. If the water is clean (2ft - unlimited) You'll wanna run a smaller presentation perhaps in peach or white.. It really does depend on the water you are fishing.. Early in the fall you'll still get the odd hatch out, so tossing a stone or similar down there might be the ticket. Once the salmon are in the river and on the spawn, roe will be your go to.
  8. Get out there and figure out what works. It can change daily.
  9. Early fall hardware can definitely be the ticket when the water is still a bit warm. Once the cold gets here nothing beats nasty jam bags. I like running jigs as well, but only in certain rivers.

    How big?

    Low 40's... 41-42in
  11. Wow Johnny I really appreciate it man! Everytime I look at them, I always pick out the flaws (Also if anyone is wondering, I gill hooked that brookie about 30mins before.. It was under 22inches so it had to go back. I tried to revive it for at least 30mins and it just wouldn't make it. I had my oldman drive the boat around with me hanging over the side trying to revive it... I still feel bad about it, lol)
  12. Finally got to take some shots with my new Canon 60D out in the middle of nowhere! Some of you might have seen a few of these on the main forum, but I'd love some feedback from some of the pros. The live action shots of the eagel grabbing the brookie are probably my fav. 13. Raf, that's a great pic man! Keep at it! I've tried to capture a few night sequences but they seem super grainy even @ ISO100.. I'll post some up from my recent Nipigon trip.
  14. Tell them to talk to the house owner that gave you permission.
  15. Topwater walleye, first I've seen of that! lol
  16. I'd go back purely out of spite
  17. LOL!!! I've made an effort this year to keep the grass under control! Although let's hope it doesn't get warm and rain much in the next two months, cause I won't have the time
  18. I was out in a 52ft charter boat Sat morning on Lake Ontario, the waves were insane. That east wind that the lake whipped up like crazy. He canceled his afternoon charter, lol.
  19. If it's a private lake, I'm surprised you're not required to have a resident in the boat (Or be directly related to) Even if they call the cops, they won't come, lol.
  20. Awesome pics Dan! Looks like all that crap weather just doesn't wanna leave!
  21. Chris, I just got a Goodlife membership! If you ever need a workout partner let me know. It was also great to talk to someone about cars that got as excited about them as I did Like I said before, don't be a stranger. You've got my cell/address.
  22. It's nice being single
  23. Good job man!!!
  24. Make sure you're using barbless hooks and practice catch and release. A temp gauge is also a great thing to have. If it's close to 70 degrees, you'll be doing more harm then good even if you release them.
  25. Adam makes some great stuff!
