  1. I'll be up in June to put a beating on those ugly snakes for you
  2. Walleyes are open in District 10 until March 31st, then closed until the 3rd Sat in May...
  3. Dan, I bet you weren't too happy when you hooked into that were ya :)
  4. Jigs and half a shrimp for shore fishing. Used these in Florida and caught all kinds of crap on them.. http://docsgoofyjigs.com/default.aspx We used 6lb braid with 20lb flouro leads and medium action spinning rods.. Bring extra line because if you hook into something really big, you'll be spooled.
  5. Yeah, I'd probably just eat as much fish as humanly possible while you're down there and don't bother bringing any back across the border.
  6. Docs Goofy Jigs and half a shrimp... Catch all kinds of stuff (Pomps, whitings, mackeral, sharks, etc)
  7. There are certain times and places where I'll bend the rules. But you wouldn't find me out in the Kawarthas with a cooler full of beer, lol.
  8. Stocking foots + wading boots are the way to go...
  9. I toss some pretty big streamers with a shorter (7'6) 5wt You don't need a 9wt to toss big stuff... It's not like your doing a lot of false casting anyhow, you're basically making a single back cast then punching that bugger in there..
  10. I'll be the first to admit I like having a beer with lunch while I'm out fishing with the oldman. However this only occurs when we are way up north and in the middle of no where (Not like that makes it anymore legal). I rarely if ever bring beer with me fishing (Unless I'm on a flyin or similar)... I don't wanna know how much beer I consumed on our trip up to Eddies a few years ago.. It might have been a world record, lol!!!
  11. Put your foot in a plastic bag, then put it into the boot. 31st isn't far away, I wouldn't waste too much time on it..
  12. If there is a melt, that river will be blown. At least it's a close drive, so you can turn around and go home, lol.
  13. Gotta put the boots to those things before they make their way into the wood!!!!
  14. The seats in my Nanook, for a lack of a better word, suck! Replacing them for this season.
  15. In that price range the Simms Freestones would be a good choice.
  16. I've got at least 5 days straight of steelheading next week, bring it on!!!!
  17. That's the way to ice fish for big lakers.. Downrigging rods and big reels, get those fish up and back in the water. I'm guessing NWT for sure.
  18. Parking for icefishing just irks me the wrong way.
  19. Not very good spawning water Even the nooks don't stop there! lol
  20. They don't spawn in the C&R zone.... Making it a no fish zone would be pointless.
  21. Only from the confluence of the Boyne/Notty to the confluence of the Pine/Notty.
  22. You see no harm in up to date water conditions, fish caught and what presentations worked? I guess you like people doing the leg work for you BTW, mentioning Angus is like mentioning Erindale park on the Credit (OMG did I just ruin that fishery to?!??!?!)
  23. Education is way cheaper then a tag system I never fish the lower stretches, so I'm only going by the handful of times I've ever fished right in Angus. I've gotten some strange looks after releasing fish
  24. Bait prices up north are going to skyrocket!
