  1. Why would it be frowned upon to measure it? How else are you supposed to know if it's in the slot or not? I can't understand why people make such simple things so complicated.. People need to stop thinking the CO's are out to get them...
  2. Speaking of batteries, any of you guys run your kicker and main motor off the same battery?
  3. Only saw 44 degree water last weekend up my way, you aren't missing anything yet! lol
  4. In the below zero temps you'll wanna stick with mono over braid.
  5. Can't do much about OOS fish, especially when you are fishing patterns that are very similar to musky. I catch the odd smallie and largemouth when the pike opener arrives. However I'm usually fishing weedlines and edges. Bass don't spawn on weed edges so they've either already done there thing and are out to feed or they haven't even started yet. Regardless they are released as soon as they are caught, no pics, etc... Now there are guys out there (I see them every year) fishing/pitching docks on the pike opener... Wanna guess at what they are fishing for?
  6. I've got a 65lb Minn Kota upfront running off of 2, 12V batteries in parallel (Although I think a Terrova is in my near future) Humminbird 747c upfront as well running off one of the trolling batteries.. 2 bank charger for both of those as well.. Rear battery runs all the electronics on the console, big motor, dual Scotty 1106s and will run the Yamaha High Thrust T8 kicker once it's installed. I've got an extra spot in the rear for another battery that I might install, so 4 total in the boat, lol.
  7. Used to absolutely SLAM them in Hay Bay during the opener.. Although it's got a lot more weeds then it used to. Nothing but trolling harnesses for us.. Simple stuff.
  8. Glad I bought a Yamaha High Thrust T8! I'll pull around the Lund with that instead of the 115, lol
  9. So many possible world records in that bucket! I hope you feed some of them to spring pike
  10. Don't EAT IT!!! You could be potentially be eating a World Record! Call the IGFA stat!
  11. NOW 3 TIMES!!!! lol
  12. Nothing like bumping a thread that's over 2 years old, lol.
  13. I think you should mount that one.
  14. Hurry up and get that passport done!!!!
  15. Pic was taken in July 2008, lol.
  16. Been fishing Dry Pine Bay since I was a little kid.. Great water and zero pressure. I doubt they'll be charting that water anytime soon I love that run out to the power lines and further! Even if the fish aren't flying into the boat, you cannot beat the scenery...
  17. Mike, I forgot to mention in my email that I've also got a Panasonic TS3 for those wet/rainy days where I don't wanna bring out my 60D. It's a good little camera, but I'm not a fan of the user menu at all.. If this is purely for a fishing camera, it's tough to beat the rugged package that the TS3 comes in.. If you're looking for an all around camera, there are better ones out there. I usually suggest the best Canon SD series a person can afford If you want a little more zoom out of a compact camera, the SX series that Aaron suggested deserves a look. Bought my mom a SX200 for her birthday last year, takes some great pics with lots and lots of range.
  18. LOL!!!!! Perhaps they were trying to figure out who was going first
  19. Nice shots... If you're shooting landscape stuff, you wanna make sure the objects close to you (The rocks in this case) are in focus... Set the aperture a bit higher and let the shutter and tripod do the work
  20. Ugh, that's gotta hurt!
  21. Motor requires 91 octane?
  22. Huh? Of course they pay for it... You realize regardless if you buy fuel at a Esso branded station, the odds are extremely good that the little mom and pop gas station down the street is also using Esso fuel?
  23. Small stores get there gas from the same place the big ones do...
  24. So did ya order it online and print the temp permit or what? :thumbsup_anim:
  25. There are 3 major refineries that distribute fuel to ALL stations in Ontario.. You're buying their gas without even knowing it.
