  1. Dave, I believe it's a kit by Goldeneye. 'Goldeneye Panther 55 2600 Auxiliary Motor Steering Kit'
  2. I'm going to be cursing that last fish that busted off! (and the fact it took 2 of the spoons I just bought, lol!)
  3. He was missing a gill plate. I've seen a few salmon like that. Didn't seem to affect him much though, he was the biggest we caught all day, lol!
  4. Picked up a Lund at the end of last season and have been itching to get it out on some bigger water ever since. Also picked up a Yamaha High Thrust T8 kicker for trolling duties instead of running the 115 Yamaha main.. Along with the T8, I was super pumped to try out the TrollMaster Pro2 I recently installed for remote throttle! Davey and I decided to play it by ear, found (or so we thought) a decent window of weather and made the jump! I'm happy to say the boat and the rest of the stuff on it performed flawlessly, we took a beating pretty much all day and the boat handled it with ease... Took us a while to pattern these fish (as we started based upon some advice we got earlier in the week).. Well they weren't where they were 'supposed' to be so we expanded our horizons a bit until we got into some fish. First fish to the boat was a 12lb or so chrome chinook, as Davey was clearing the lines, #2 rigger goes off!! Doubleheader! There was a really small area where we constantly got into fish, if you were out of it, you were staring at a blank screen. Had a great time out on the water, in the end the waves just got way to big to do anything safely.. Packed her up and headed home. Totals for the day were 4 chinooks, 2 lakers and 2 coho.. I lost a big big fish after surfacing and running for about 200-300ft... I guess that 20 year old Trilene XT needs to be changed! Here's Davey with the first two. A nice face shot of the big boy. Davey doing the honours with the first one I reeled in.. A fat little laker that decided he wanted to play as well. Dave with another! The little beast in action!
  5. Wow BB, those are some cows! I gotta get the oldman out on Simcoe for a little bit of perchin' soon!
  6. I never use the inflated Canadian MPG numbers, always the US ones..
  7. Brian, that's a big ass moth!
  8. Man, that's awesome!
  9. Harder to be a good loser then a good winner.
  10. You can never buy big enough... Ever thought of a short wheelbased Tahoe/Yukon?
  11. It's crazy how much road noise you here in the bush! Good job man! I thought he was going to bolt a few times through that vid!
  12. Sounds like you should stick around, you'd fit in great here
  13. People aren't going to be handing you brook trout lakes on a platter (especially since you've got 4 total posts), regardless if they are stocked or not.. You've got some good info here, I'd run with it.
  14. I don't wanna know what that costs.
  15. lakers, bass, whities.
  16. Right, left, down, down, up, right A+B unlocks the classifieds.
  17. It's not the towing that gets people in trouble, it's the stopping (or lack thereof).
  18. F150's with the EcoBoost have been a bust in the mileage department. I doubt the Explorer will do much better. Replace that silly V6 turbo gasser with a small displacement turbo diesel and then you'd see some nice mileage numbers
  19. Towing and mileage really don't go together. We get about 9mpg pulling the 5th wheel and the boat with my oldmans Duramax, can easily pull 15-16mpg with the boat only. But that's way overkill for what you're looking for.
  20. Getting attacked tonight in the garage installing the TrollMaster Pro2 on my Yamaha T8! Of course I gotta wear shorts because it was nice out today, lol
  21. This is why it's called fishing, not catching. Go explore.. The trip is half the fun!
  22. They've been spearing walleyes in the spring forever. Isn't the walleye population on Nipissing actually on the upswing?
  23. It's a tiller, but I've got a TrollMaster Pro2 wired in the boat for throttle control and have it rigged up to the 115 for steering. All I want to do is wire in a switch on the console for starting and I'll be all set.
  24. Appreciate it guys! I realize the Yamalube wasn't magical, just needed some opinions from some of you veterans
