  1. I'm not sure how spey got brought into this thread to be honest. It's on a completely different level then your typical spinning setup. It's not like you toss your Sahara on a Uglystick and start swinging flies with April Vokey
  2. Don't you have enough experience with those fantastic playoff runs the Sens have made? Should be used to it by now
  3. If you haven't iced fished for them, you should. It's like a video game out on Simcoe So much fun.
  4. Let's hope this weather co-operates!! Lake O needs to heat up!
  5. I'd love to see someone try and spey fish with an ugly stick... That would be hilarious!
  6. Whatever swims, I fish for it (except carp)... Icefishing for lakers/whities/perch, then you have early season Lake O browns/salmon/whatever, then trout opener, then pike, the muskie, then bass, etc etc etc... Only thing I need to do is start fishing for late season smallies on Simcoe.. I think I'm missing out on some big big fish
  7. Sure, why not? As long as you are fishing from a boat you're golden. Still can only use one line when fishing from shore/pier etc.
  8. I use a place on Tiffin right before Anne. I forget the name, but the shop manager always helps me out and doesn't charge me much at all. It's almost right across from the equipment rental place.
  9. All of the Leaf games at home are sold out. It's the richest franchise in the NHL.
  10. 2 lines from a boat in open water in zone 20 for Lake O.. You don't have to be trolling.
  11. Agreed, well worth the drive.. Op would be silly not to pull that boat up to Penetang and get it fixed correctly.
  12. Me either... Ditches aren't on the top of my list of places to fish :) Either is trying to entice fish while they are on the beds, lol! This is why when opener arrives, the steelhead gear goes in the closet until fall. I like chasing residents with the 4/6wt or chucking tiny spinners on UL gear.
  13. There's no reason why you can't bottom bounce, chuck hardware and drift floats with the same rod... That shouldn't be very difficult.. No need for 8 different rods to catch steelhead, lol.
  14. I just rinse the Blackbird shot before using it to get most of the dust off
  15. Noodle rods were all the rage back in the day.. They've pretty much have zero back bone and bend well into the handle. Even with a parabolic curve a rod can have some balls (Take an IMX for example).. Noodle rods probably killed more fish then anyone ever imagined, lol! I can't imagine trying to cast with one of those things. It would be like casting a spoon with one of my custom Fenwick fibreglass rigger rods.
  16. Roy, everyone I'm sure is at the beer counter :)
  17. Check out the Shimano Convergence line.. Cheap and they do the job. I've landed all kinds of steelhead/chinooks with mine.. It's nothing fancy but the fish don't seem to care very much Right around the $70 range.
  18. It is 2... Guys on shows always take the 2 from the cameraman, lol!
  19. You can tell Carlyle is trying to keep Kadri grounded... Exactly what the kids needs.. Hoping for a good effort tonight against the Rangers!
