You kept fishing a lake for 20 years even though it was horrible? May I suggest perhaps trying some new water? Lots of walleyes out there man, you just need to do a little searching.

It's not just stocking over not stocking... there so many other ways to improve a fishery... You think it's black and white, it's not...

Perhaps 'feed' is the key issue here, lol. Have you fished GBay lately? Walleyes are exploding out there, but not a lot of guys even fish for them because they can't bring them home and put them on the table.. Slot limits work wonders, Gbay is a prime example.

Which lakes would those be? I don't see anyone else complaining about the lack of fish... Kawarthas, Simcoe, you name it...

I'm catching way too many of the stupid things when pike opener hits, on the weed edges. I wouldn't worry too much about them being on the beds for opener.

There's an island out on Gloucestor Pool I've nicknamed 'Turtle Island' every time on pike opener (if it's sunny) there will be at least 50 turtles sunning themselves, sticking their heads up out of the water. I just can't help but laugh.

If you want to save an hour, take the Sultan Rd. If not, don't.

That's going to be tight. If there is no ice that water is going to be so cold you'd probably have better luck ice fishing!

I take the Sultan Rd pretty much anytime I head up that way. You'll save around 80kms by taking that instead of taking the 17 over to the 129 and going up that way. As far as CAA? Good luck getting a cell signal anywhere near there..
