  1. That first pic is hilarious! LOL!!!
  2. Don't be afraid to go shallower, I've nailed some monsters at 2-3am in 8ft of water or less bombing Moonshines from the boat Probably the most addicting hits of the season.. One minute you're just casually reeling in, the next all hell breaks loose as your trying to follow the fish so it doesn't spool you.
  3. One of my fav things to do, especially with the Toronto skyline in the back ground. Great write up.
  4. Early - shallow, later the day move deeper, evening go back shallow. Personally if you want some fish I'd run out to the bluezone and fish anywhere from 25-60ft down. Spoons, SD/flies, etc.
  5. Adjust the offset on your fish finder so it lines up. Some maps are worse then others.
  6. Al, I knew there must have been a reason, lol!
  7. Cracked one of the lenses on a pair of Maui Jims a few weeks ago, decided to drop by the store in Mississauga to see if they could swap them out for me. I've had previous repairs at this store and have nothing but great service. I go in, tell the girl what happened and also that the frames are peeling a bit. I sat down for about 30 seconds then she reappears with a brand new set of glasses. I ask how much and she says 'Nothing'. I told her the last time I was in, it was about $80 for a new set of lenses (Installed). She said that she was happy I was still a Maui Jim customer and there was going to be no charge today. Walked out with a brand new pair of glasses, as happy as a pig in ****. I've got no plans on ever buying another brand of sunglasses. Can't beat customer service like this.
  8. I never use snubbers on my dipsies. If you are snapping line you've either set the drag way too tight or there was an issue with the line itself (kink, fray, etc)
  9. I appreciate the offer bud! I'll have to make an excuse to get down that way.
  10. Ugh, I need two Group 31s and a new starting battery for the main., Those are some killer prices.
  11. Wait, I shouldn't be drinking this stuff?!?!?!??!
  12. Only if you buy in the US, stuff we get here is garbage.
  13. Gbay would be a good choice, lots and lots of camping available if you've got a boat.
  14. I might get down to the big lake this weekend, we'll see what the weather is like.
  15. Right on man!!! Glad to hear you're making the most out of your time out West. That stream looks incredible. Go find some bull trout and toss big streamers at them, that should keep you busy for a while
  16. Been a slammer on the North shore this year for sure. Can't wait until they start staging and I can go cast glow spoons at night
  17. Very hard to find dark skies in Southern Ontario, just too much light pollution, especially when we're talking 30s exposure times and always facing south.. Even some of the 'Dark Sky' preserves I've found aren't good (Although they're ok for looking at the stars).
  18. Some cameras have a built-in intervalometer, most don't... This is what you'd use to tell the camera to take a pic every 5 mins for the next 8-10hrs or so. Like Joey said you can also hook this up to a smart phone or tablet or even a PC.. It's pretty cool and fairly simple. Like she posted, you can get some killer mini movies out of it! I need to try this with the Milky Way before it disappears this year.
  19. I really hope you stick it to the City of Richmond Hill!
  20. I'm sure Joey said the exact same thing to him, lol!
