  1. Now how much are you going to save hauling all that additional weight up there? If it's a few cents more, it totally makes sense to get it before you head into the bush.
  2. Bait casting reels - 15-20lb PP Float reels - 6lb Nano, 10lb Fireline Crystal (Depending on season) Salmon gear - 20lb Big game for the rigger rods, 65lb PP for the dispy rods Spinning gear - 6lb Nano (Depending on what I'm fishing), 4lb mono (Small trout setup) 6lb Fireline Crystal, 12lb PP. No flouro mainlines, I hate the stuff.
  3. Kane needs some good PR
  4. I think the last time I made a trip up there I filled 17 cans before heading in, lol. Big runs for big fish.
  5. I'd be running gobie presentations if I was out on Simcoe going after lakers or whities. Those little swammers would awesome (Although I don't know if they still make them)... Icefishing jigs/spoons will work as well.
  6. If you're jigging for whities, you'll want a double anchor setup.
  7. It might allow enough for idle, but as soon as he goes WOT, not enough fuel.
  8. For pike no, but have you ever had a 30lb king smash a dipsy, scream 400yrds off line off before you can even get it out of the holder? lol it's a riot Funny you mention trolling for pike, but my biggest was taken trolling (48.5in)
  9. I'd guess Jellicoe.
  10. Glad the mystery is finally solved
  11. GPool is pretty well marked. Lots of bays, go explore.
  12. I doubt there will be much traffic at all.
  13. 1 rod on Gbay, not like Ontario or Erie.
  14. More then possible trolling, again it all depends on the lake, time of year and what structure the fish are holding against. When those walleyes are tucked into the weed edges, you won't find a better approach then trolling those edges with harnesses, etc. You could drop shot, but you'd be covering so much less water.
  15. Agreed with above, I'm guessing are both at the bottom of the lake somewhere.
  16. Wish the Leafs were still in it, but you can't complain about they hockey that;s being played!
  17. Doesn't matter what the water levels are, where every they spawned, they'll still be hanging around. You fishing above Big Chute? Not the greatest pike water, you'd probably do much better in GPool.
  18. Missed the game lastnight, wish I didn't!
  19. Awesome man! I remember meeting Grapes and Walter Gretzky as a kid while playing minor hockey in St.Catharines. They stuck around until every kid had an autograph. Lots of smiling kids that day for sure!
  20. Fish it all. I find early in the season the males are a lot shallower then the big girls. They're usually coming back into the shallows, I find them on the edges.
  21. I wouldn't go near that river if it's in flood stage (Which it might be with all this rain)... As for tackle, small spinners, pinched barbs and go at it.
  22. lol @ Dave!!! that's hilarious!
  23. I'd much rather listen to Cole getting all the names wrong then the feed from NBC. Albert and McGuire? Good god it makes my ears bleed!!!!!!!!!
