It would be nice to be able to see back in time and witness how many skeptics were around when the Spanish Flu hit (Within the last century)...and... what they had to say when... Towns were closed down....bodies in boxes stacked on loading docks cause they could'nt bury them fast enough (USA)....probably those pesky pharmaceutical companies made up that kids song "I had a little bird and it's name was enza-----I opened up the window and in-flew enza" Through life if I've learned anything about human nature it is that there will always a group that will be more than willing to take up a stand even though it is backed by the best science of the day. AAAH---global warming----Stupid BC had too many pine trees anyway and salmon we can do without. Yes I may be wrong when I get my shot----but I will take solice in the fact that I made the decision based on my research and did what I could do to help myself and my family. Bushart

Don't think it's legal to eat kids?? This painter's gettin the shot---regret sucks Bushart

The wolf issue usually draws fire from all sides of that furry debate and I believe like keeping a fish limit it is the individuals choice. I used to live in Northwestern Ontario and hunt as much as I could----long season --so lots. I have been eyeball to eyeball with the big dog and never pulled the trigger-----now I pulled my gun up till I seen what the response was gonna be but never had. Should mention I've encountered 15-20 pets in my hunting days--even had a pack tracking me in the snow. Some hunters I know believe their hunting will suffer with the wolves runnin around---way I look at it---they were hunting in my areas long before This painter showed up so I'll let them be. One example---My buddy and I entered a huge cut once and we decided to walk around (Split up) and meet back at a certain time-----not long into my walk (wind in my face) I come up a knoll and comin up the other side was a lone wolf ----we looked at each other for a second and he beat it out of there----an hour later I hear---Kapow---my buddy shot a huge cow moose-----I always wondered had I shot that wolf how the shot may have disturbed the area---maybe no moose sausage--who knows? Watchin Hamilton news this morn heard a good one "Hamilton did'nt get a hockey team and they're still only one game behind the Leafs" Gotta love it Bushart

Ok I'll do the research---Burt wins a years supply of Bronte salmon fillets on this one---always good when those unexpected relatives show up just before dinner, taken from a nature website. . It is Astaxanthine that give Flamingos their pink color. When shrimps eat algae the astaxanthine contained in them is incorporated into their chitin shell. When the Flamingos eat the shrimps the flamingos then incorporate the pigment into their feathers. Incidentally this is also why the meat or muscle of an adult wild salmon is pink. Farmed salmon raised on meal lacking the pigment have white appearing muscle. This is also why when you cook shrimp or lobster or crab they turn bright pink to red in color. Shrimps and lobsters don't look pink at first due to proteins in the shell obscuring the pigment. When the protein is denatured (cooked) it reveals the wonderful color. This is also true of the leaves of fall. When the green chlorophylls in the leaves are destroyed the reds and oranges and yellows of fall are revealed in their splendor! OK Mr. Dawg we all know your tryin yur very best....keep up the fine effort Bushart

Ya ever wonder where a pink Flamingo gets its colours from----same story Bushart---the one and only source for all your useless information

I understand really red/orange flesh such as in Lake trout---freshwater shrimp Bushart

They'll work---no prob. Really like the signature on bottom Bushart

It is the media driven blue team machine---finite I would not be suprised to hear discussions on TSN or Sports net go something like this...... Wow Bob that was some Tsunami that hit the south Pacific Huh?.......Wonder how this will affect the Leafs chances to make the playoffs... or how about the commercials where they show Leafs scoring on Sens and or Habs to that rockin beat. How's about the biggest attention grab in the last 5 years----the leafs were going to change teams with Edmonton in the Gretzky era---yea right! Even the Mike Myers Love Guru was a bomb----possibly cause he hitched his wagon to the Leafs. This could go on and on Centre of the universe I believe is a black hole (Or blue) Bushart

I've got zero against the OFAH but if I'm them---I'm keepin this one at arms length. Cause there may be a huge number of experienced successful careful hunters out there that may not like being Forced into an organization as the way of measuring up. We already have the bar set to hunt legally in Ontario. This is just going to make for hard feelings. Bushart

Anyone else finding it hard to be a hockey fan?

Actually that's my spin on Porn -
IF this is true---it's a crock More evidence of a Toronto mentality--give asomeone a bit of authority and watch em use it. There goes the whole "True North Strong and Free" thing---nowadays its what affiliation you may have. I guess this reason will keep me away from Simcoe county----Big Brother can't even leave you alone in the bush. Bushart

Lets see--I'll probably get this quote wrong by Burke Players need Truculence (????) Tenacity Testetosterone. MMMMM...should have mentioned---ability to score goals and keep it out of their net. Tell ya what---I also followed the leafs---30 years of my life I'll never get back---After they traded--Wendel/Dave Andrychuk and Dougie it was time to say enough. At the time --the Sens were up and coming---Players with something to prove and not just overpaid attendees with Muskoka cottages on the brain. I hear all you leaf fans out there---BUT the healing will not begin till you admit there's a problem...Man I gotta stop watchin Dr. Phil. Bushart -
Looks good Keep goin brother Bushart

Sorry missed the last ??----no to dropshot--tried it though---fishin tight to bottom Bushart

Lowrance X85 I was fishing underwater rock pile points that break fast from shore---This one in particular had some 20 but 31 fow was the magic number yesterday--could be that the outside corner was 31 though. Very deep adjacent water was also part of this equation. Hope this answers your question Bushart

I hear ya.....that's why that fish is layin on a scale Now if I had 3 hands I could have held the fish straight--and put that tail at the 20 inch mark--over 20 if i pinched the tail and still took the pic. What's a standard width on a store bought fish length sticker for your boat--3 inches?---this fish kinda dwarfs it--no? Funny thing about the interweb---this whole anonymity thing---just because I choose not to broadcast every aspect of my life does not mean that I have not had many years of experience and numerous competitive success stories. I should'nt have to qualify my pictures and stories with that. Bushart

That's why I can think it but I never say it----Learned that lesson as well Bushart

sorry dawg---I've logged many moons on the water and Your wrong---but deep down you probably already know that---this fish is well over 5 1/2 Keep up the good pot stirr'n though Bushart

This is why I made sure I had my boating licence by Sept 15th. The smallies were right where they were supposed to be. Unfortunately I was fishin with all my friends again (myself) so picture takin was a challenge. Today marks the day though of the biggest Smallie I've ever caught---I once caught a 5.4 lber--this guy was way bigger(fatter) I took the best shots I could. Finally it was big bass and lots of em. Man I love the fall Bushart

Oh yeah one more ting------if your fishin those sharp breaks---lean towards the 18-20 fow range plus Now I'm really done Bushart
-
Nudder spot to check depending on weather...look for weed patches---reason being---the weeds are dying underneath but a lot still are green on top---makes like a roof or canopy diffusing sunlight-----1/16 oz jigs and minno's good combo here. K--now i'm dun

Look for the sharpest breaklines you can from shore. If your lake has a ciscoe base they will run up rivers soon and willy will follow. Here Endeth The Lesson. Bushart
