  1. I hear ya HH---maybe we should form a club---The PO'D Environmental Anglers Association
  2. Would make good business sense---I'm not willing to sell my environmental soul at this moment though---I heard the tumours on the Athabasca river whitefish does fry up well though
  3. C'mon Fishin D----Are you not aware that the prices will go up just prior to the long wkd cause the refineries have to change over from Mid-Spring/ Late winter blend to a late spring-early summer full moon blend Please a little sympathy for those hard workin oil execs-----do you know how hard it is to make ends meet on a mere 4 billion dollar profit per quarter I think we should start a petition to raise prices I gotta go gargle now
  4. I've caught nice ones in mid summer till Sept-----Slip bobber---5-6 ft of line below a red hook and small minnow Quick breaks and wood nearby Caught em on mepps spinners on tea lake castin off an island in mid July

  9. I'm not sure what year they started using ethanol proof rubber on items?? I talked to an auto mechanic a while back----if anything is 10 yrs or older---maybe an issue like my ob was
  10. I was fortunate Lew when the Mechanic was workin on my outboard---I got to watch and talk with him Before that time--I used reg unleaded with ethanol Anyway with one of my carbs apart--- he showed me the smallest speck of rubber in a port---causing all my headaches hard to believe something so small---almost dust like---could cause so big an issue Super ever since
  11. May not help at all---but since my outboard issues---even my lawnmower gets super gas Apparently ethanol has a hunger for some rubber types
  12. Many of the essentials are listed already This may sound obvious---when trekking or on larger bodies of water----turn around once in a while and familiarize yourself with the landscape Hard to believe how many people who just keep pushing forward get turned around when it's time to head back and everything looks different Unless of course your compass reading constantly
  13. Irish---figure that's a NipPISSING kidney Stone?
  14. That was my experiment on cold fusion to solve the world's energy needs----Now ya broke it!! No idea---looks like it somethin you could sell on the streets though
  15. This is why I avoid the human race in general as a rule and hang with my dog He never casts over my line or drinks the last beer---and always listens when I re-tell stories

  24. I think this OP is on the mark and gentle direction is preferred over a rope and tree limb At times I watched some poor kid---pleased as can be---wanting to belong--show a couple honkers he caught and KEPT--get tossed into the fire for keeping what was legal at the time I feel for them---absolute happiness shot out of the sky like a clay pigeon I think the best I ever read was someone getting raked for keeping spawning perch Guess my point is that we all have varying levels of acceptable stewardship But Fun should never be taken out of the equation---especially for our younger pals
