  1. I guess you never used the "edit" feature that all forums have..........not sure why you quoted yourself was even necessary.
  2. HUH, I never seen someone quote themselves but I guess it's a norm here........LOL
  3. Good Luck and I hope you do well and have fun, however Kipawa can be VERY challenging for walleyes but they will be big ones if you can crack the code.
  4. What's wrong with the Big Nip ? ? ? But anyways..........try here but call ahead, don't know if they are open that late in the year. If they are that would be my first choice. Stay right at the main lodge, they have GREAT accommodations. http://www.airivanhoe.com/drive-in-lodge-cabins.php
  5. Had a 1975 Olds, '77 Blazer, 80 Pinto wagon, 84 Ford Club Wagon, 89 Impala wagon, which were all "rust proofed" and all got rusted.....in '95 I purchased a Saturn so that basically stopped my rust problem. Then I had a 1995 GMC Safari, 2001 Ford Escape and now a 2007 Toyota and 2009 Honda all which were NOT rust proofed because the manufacture recommended against it. None of which rusted. Sometimes the so called "rust proofing" is actually doing more harm then good because it can clog up important drain holes in panels. But the biggest thing now a days is the manufactures are using better material in crucial areas, like plastic inner fender panels and or galvanized metal. Trust me, skip the rust proofing........I was skeptical as you are now but time has proven the manufactures recommendation as good advice.
  6. I gave up any kind of rust proofing in the 80's......and now my vehicles are rust free....I can't say that about the ones that were "rust proofed" ...MANY manufactures recommend NOT getting anything done and could even void the rust thru warranty......check before you do anything. BTW my truck is 9 years 4 months old and no rust whatsoever.
  7. Please let me know when you are going to do this so I can stop over with my video camera in hand...
  8. Indians only like to do business when they have the upper hand on everything........they don't like to play by the same rules as everyone else.
  9. Lawyers / Realtors / Politicians / Snakes................all the same..... you never see skid marks in the pavement when one is run over......
  10. I do...........I don't believe in keeping small crappies.........it's no different then keep under size walleyes.
  11. One of the reasons I shy away from Bluegills in the summer........
  12. No not really..........but you are correct about many batteries being shipped dry and even today that is true at some places. However, it has nothing to do with the battery case material.
  13. OH, not really...............if they were not made of impermeable material the acid would have run right out of the battery. What a mess that would have been. But it was a myth about storing them on concrete.
  14. Nurse that old battery through this year and then drop kick it to the curb next spring. But DON'T pay anywhere near $200 for a battery, you really over paid.
  15. Ten inches and up.........they are by FAR the best fresh water fish to eat. Their flesh is pure white when fried up and no strong fish taste whatsoever..........only thing, they are VERY delicate and must be either kept alive or iced down while fishing until filleted. NEVER put them on a stringer and have them bake on the surface......what a waste if that is done.
  16. I gotta ask.........what kind of bait is that in picture #3......I've heard of a pig and a jig, so is this a head and a spoon ......... LOL
  17. So what's next, don't insure people that smoke.......how about if they drink or have kids.......where does it end ? ? ?
  18. So you went the other way now.........not that there is anything wrong with that....LOL
  19. The couple of muskie trips per year made no sense to own a boat. Much cheaper to charter if that's the amount you only do.
  20. The last I heard (years ago) is that all 2 cycle oil is now "low ash" oil.
  21. And then upgrade it to a iPilot and fish away.
  22. I believe they are protected.......where did you see they are not........hoping you are correct.
  23. Are double-crested cormorants protected in the U.S.? Double-crested cormorants are one of approximately 800 species protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918, and subsequent amendments. This act was first passed to implement the terms of a treaty between the U.S. and Canada for the protection of migratory birds. Excessive market hunting of migratory birds prompted this treaty, which was later followed by treaties with Mexico, Japan, and Russia. Double-crested cormorants were first protected by U.S. law in 1972 through an amendment to the Mexican treaty. Double-crested cormorants may not be injured or killed, and nests with eggs/chicks may not be taken according to Federal and most State laws, unless specifically authorized.
