  1. If you can still upgrade to tilt/trim I would highly advise it for someone your age. You will never get younger or stronger and if you do decide to upgrade a year or two from now it will cost you a LOT more to do so. Bite the bullet NOW and get the tilt/trim unit and you will be glad you did. I know it's not what you want to hear but I'm just trying to help and not pat you on the back to sound good. Happy Fishing . . . BTW all outboards are great nowadays so I wouldn't limit myself on any one manufacture. But I would take a second look at a E-TEC for the simple fact they are offering a 10 year factory warranty until March 31st. Can't beat that deal with a Ugly Stick IMHO.
  2. All from a little rich girl from upper Manhattan, NY.
  3. YES, results of the investigation should be done in 6-18 years.
  4. He sure didn't look like he was having fun fishing . . . . so why not . . .
  5. Now that's why I watch NFL Football and not hockey. . . .
  6. I found Big Gull a pretty easy lake for bass, walleye and NP but that was years ago. Never had to go more then 3/4 of a mile to find fish. When the old couple sold Kirk's Kove and the new guy took over he frowned on us for keeping 4 walleyes and one pike for dinner on the way to the fish cleaning house. Prices went up and it just didn't have that friendly atmosphere anymore. The old couple use to have a HUGE pile of wood for camp fires and it was free. Great people to deal with. The new guy had 5 gallon buckets of firewood for $5 that was green and would put out a hot fire. I also noticed the new guy wanted to cater to tree huggers and butterfly chasers....They also wanted to cater to large parties like weddings, etc but couldn't get the permits because the building they remodeled to hold them in hung over the water. They put the cart in front of the horse on that one. New guy was a carpenter not a business man back then. Has that changed, did they sell it or are they still running it ? ? ? Is it fishermen friendly or butterfly chaser friendly now ? ? ? I miss going there.
  7. Ship happens...........the operator should be commended for having the proper safety gear and leading his clients to safety after it happened. Hale the new "Sully" . . . .
  8. I also have a silver truck.......why you ask...........because they always look clean and I didn't want a white milk truck pulling my boat around.
  9. Been there done that, so now I just watch......... As far as jumper cables I have a short set made just for the boat for over 30 years and thank God never had to use them.
  10. You need a bigger boat for more comfort......... I know, not what you wanted to hear but the new 17-18' boats with 93-99" beams will solve your comfort problem and make you safer in rougher days. Adding more weight and making the center of gravity higher is not a safe way to go.
  11. You can't fix stupid...........dealers are not to blame, boaters are. Now, I like the action at the boat ramp. Many times when I don't want to fish I take the bride down there to see all the stupid things that happen there. Sometimes we have a picnic while waiting for more action to show up. One time I ran into one of my fishing buddies that had his girlfriend out with him on Erie. He was forced in early because she got sick in 1' waves.......LOL But anyways he was pulling the boat out and no one else was around. I parked about 100 feet from him as he was struggling to get the boat on the trailer straight and he was yelling at the girlfriend. I sat there and laughed for about 2 minutes before he looked up and recognized me. Then he started to yell at me and I laughed even louder before going over there to help him. I will never forget that day.
  12. No, not silver bass. . . . I keep those for the smoker......
  13. Many times we get white perch mixed in on Lake Erie in deep water.....they hit a lot harder then yellow perch and fight better too...... His theory is if you mix them in the people will not notice the difference.......
  14. You also have to watch out what you get when one of my fishing partners gives you fish because he likes to keep everything over the gunnel and then mixes those nasty white perch with yellow perch to give away to people he owes favors to. . . . I have tried to break him of this habit but he is beyond help.
  15. I no longer freeze my fish in water ever since I got a vacuum packer. . . . and I have had fish that were 2 years old and tasted great. That's the only problem with a chest freezer, is sometimes things fall to the bottom of it and get lost for awhile.
  16. He posted it's a "G2" 150 HO . . . so that baby will be a launch out of the water, not a hole shot problem like some 4 strokers. . I only have a G1 E-TEC 90 HO..........now I'm jealous . . . grrrrrrrr
  17. Nice catch, how did you manage a E-TEC saddled on the back of a Lund........not easy to do nowadays.... You're gonna love the E-TEC with the powerful hole shot, quiet and extremely good on gas, great choice not to mention a 10 year warranty. Can you imagine in 5 years you decide for some reason to sell this boat and it still has a 5 year warranty on the motor, what a selling point for a used boat. BTW the self winterizing is really SWEET...... I'll bet you can't wait until spring.......
  18. People will always buy cheap crap........just look at how many Rams are sold every year.............LOL
  19. Just don't buy a Cracker...........er........I mean a Tracker.....
  20. http://www.polarkraft.com/construction.php This is one of the reasons I choose Polar Kraft (Look at V HULL Construction) AND because I can choose my outboard not "their" outboard....choices are E-TEC Merc Yammy Honda
  21. Exactly.............like a 12 year old wrote it the night before.
  22. Yes, can't argue with that. However, if you take it to court you will win using the MNR own website..
  23. And what about all these fishing/hunting lodges that charge in US funds.........what's that all about and is it legal.
  24. Oh, OK..........I stand corrected.... BTW I have never clicked on the REPORT button and really never paid any attention to it. If I didn't like what someone said about me or their opinion on something I can easily ignore them.
