  1. You may be correct, I'll give you that since I'm at work and didn't read your article. My point is its long been the refrain of the denier that "we should do nothing because China is doing nothing". China is no longer doing nothing.
  2. I don't disagree with you, we are doing more. But someone else said it best - if your neighbor doesn't pick up his dog crap or cut his lawn, do you follow suit and not cut your own? China is doing more now than ever, because hundreds of thousands of people are dying yearly. Should we do less because they are? Should we wait until we have that many people dying? I don't think so. Again, I'm talking about the goal, not the implementer (Wynne the incompetent).
  3. Your link is based on a report by a discredited organization. They are climate change deniers busted for using a non-profit for political work. China's consumption of coal is going down. http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/feb/29/china-coal-consumption-drops-again
  4. I would be surprised to learn that China bought a coal fired generating plant. I have read estimates of 350,000-500,000 deaths per year in China due to air pollution. They are actively phasing out coal to the tune of 4% of their capacity per year and replacing the lost capacity with renewables.
  5. Hey, you can't argue with results, and Chad kicked our butts using those tip ups. If you ever decide to make them for sale you have your first customer right here.
  6. I'm still so jealous of those, they're the best tip ups I've seen!
  7. It's good to know we have a board full of accomplished speakers, who have never stammered or flubbed a line while the eyes of a nation (or the world) are on them. Kudos to you guys. This message was brought to you by the National Sarcasm Society. (Yeah, like we need your support ?)

Page 10 of the regs: While the regulations for a specic Fisheries Management Zone limit the number of fish an individual can catch and retain from that Zone, provincial possession limits limit the total number of fish of a given species a person can have in their possession (including storage) which have been harvested from more than one Zone. Always check the regulations for the zone in which you are fishing to ensure that you arent exceeding the catch and possession limit for that Zone. Walleye is max 6, no matter where they were caught.
  9. Thank you! I don't think that's too much to ask.
  10. I'm using Monsanto as a catchall, and at no point have I said they are the only company in the field. Making that your point of contention is being pedantic. Why does Monsanto get to decide what I can and can't know? Should I have the right to know or not, that is the question.

Do they need a warrant to come check your freezer? Just curious, my freezer is sadly empty.
  12. I fished it once for bass and we did quite well. It's a pretty lake too.
  13. I'm not sure I understand the resistance in here. If you like gmo food or own Monsanto stock, that's your business. I'm not trying to restrict your options. I'm trying to even HAVE options. I would like to elect not to eat gmo food when given the option. This is a personal preference that I am entitled to have. However, a corporation with a market cap of over $55B is working hard and spending a lot of money to make sure I can't have a choice. Stop defending this tactic. It isn't right. Europe has seen the light and is way ahead of us on consumer protection where gmo is concerned. I can hear the response from the Monsanto lovers already - "move to Europe then".
  14. I didn't say they were breeding the species. I said they can add DNA from one animal to another animal in a lab. That's neither incorrect nor misleading.
  15. I asked my old broker and they said my old tinner with a 20 on it was covered under my umbrella liability. I'm with allstate now and they said I would have to buy a separate policy because I have a 40 on my boat now.
  16. I was trying to hold off until I upgrade the boat someday but this thread got me thinking. Still haven't made up my mind.
  17. Who here doesn't have insurance? From what I understand it's not mandatory in Ontario. My boat probably isn't worth the cost of insuring against loss, but I am thinking about adding liability coverage. Just wondering who has it and who doesn't......
  18. This is misleading. Selective breeding is a form of gmo, that is correct. But you cannot selectively bred two incompatible species. In a lab, you can add pig dna to a fish. Try getting a pig to selectively breed with a salmon.
  19. Do you believe, as a consumer, that I have the right to know if my food is GMO or not?. I believe I have a right to know. Monsanto does not.
