  1. I know exactly what you are saying, however I think the point is that, the guys are young and inexperienced, it’s not that they are too wimpy, they just need to get a bit more grizzled. Give it time, trust me I remember being 20 years old and playing against a bunch of guys in their 30’s in men’s league, I’m not a big guy so it made it even worse but I remember thinking holy heck getting your ass kicked by a bunch of big men with full beards that had 30llbs more muscle than me sucked. if you recall, Toronto played the big bad bruins last year and had them absolutely on the ropes and a their inexperience in closing a team out let them down. They didn’t have the total killer instinct, I think they came in and knew they could do it, they then had Boston on life support but let off of the gas. This was the big bad Boston bruins. 7 foot Chara was basically given a green light by the nhl to hack and slash and hook everyone in sight because he couldn’t keep up with them. saying AM and Marner disappear in the playoffs is a longgggg stretch marners got 13 points in 14 career playoff games, hard to be invisible hanging out on the score sheet every game. matthews had 6 points in 7 games including 4 of those being goals in that Boston series. their defense let them down last year, don’t get it twisted. You weren’t going to win much with nikita zaitsev and Ron hainsey playing in your top 4. Good thing they are playing on a team that’s more in line with their abilities now...the senaturds they will put it together. The guys are maturing and look more and more confident with every passing month.
  2. I will say that after thinking about whether it would have been possible for the old driver switcheroo to have occurred, if you’ve ever been questioned by the police, they are usually pretty good at figuring out who was doing what by asking a lot of questions from everyone involved while you are isolated from everyone else. Typically If the stories aint lining up perfectly the truth isn’t being told. if you immediately lawyer up, then the investigation starts digging away.
  3. A little overstated unless you are running lithium’s, but it’s close. Gotta pay to play! 3 agms, charger, marine wiring, fuses, panel. I just redid my entire boat. It’s only 24 volt and I run my units off of my starting battery. But yup, some days my wallet misses the pull starter and ice fishing lead acid batteries in my old tinner lol
  4. You are leaving out the fact that rich teams like Toronto front load deals using bonuses so that the player retains their entire salary at the point of signing. Aka nearly the entirety of the cash is already in Auston Matthews pocket. Meaning he is free to invest it and turn it for more money than chabot who has to wait for his pay day every year the interest alone on $50,000,000 is insane
  5. You really think 20 year old 5’11 180lb Nick suzuki was going to fight someone on the leafs? What you are implying here is the same crap we had back in the day...so if it was the leafs, that collision happens, Babcock puts out wade belak to settle the score, and Montreal puts out Georges Laraque. Belak chirps Suzuki, then Georges steps in. They have a staged fight and apparently all is right in the world again. then wade belak has CTE from fighting so much and ends up committing suicide. Now you maybe get why the NHL is lowering its tolerance for this kind of stuff. Imagine you had to fight an MMA fight every single day of the week as an enforcer. It’s not healthy. UFC fighters are suspended from competing after every fight for a set period of time. you might go and punch Suzuki square in the face and then end up suspended. Just like when kadri drove buddies head through the boards after he hit Marleau. That really helped the leafs out. Also the knee wasn’t intentional, the guy literally won the award for most sportsmanlike player in the entire OHL Last season. The game is too fast. Some collisions are unavoidable, it’s a different story when it’s a guy like ristolinan doing it that has a history of that kind of garbage. the old NHL these pre season games would have had some young big tough guy his entire goal for the game would have been to go and try concuss Mitch marner and then win the subsequent fight to show that he was big and tough. It makes sense that people would rather watch marner play than some hack tough guy
  6. SHAMMMEEEEEE also I think the ladies would enjoy the nudity
  7. No proof he was the one that tried to enter the car, he neve exposed himself. Look at the charge itself, it’s a drunken disorderly charge. No harrasment, no indecent exposure, no physical harm. he was charged for being intoxicated in public...that’s it the PTSD deal? What the hell kind of person thinks they’d make a good security guard if they are scared of people at night time? Also important to note, apparently AM was also accompanied by women at the time of the incident as well. I vote for immediate lashing, public humiliation death march down bay street, followed by crucifixion on the steps of queens park
  8. Asston trashedthews i don’t wanna live in 2019 anymore listening to twitter and sports radio today you’d think he had a raging hard on, was banging on her car to try get in and rape her. Good grief
  9. Battery issue, had the same problem with my 7...battery swap, problem fixed
  10. the "its not her fault because it was night time" angle doesnt apply. Thats the same complaint people that crash their car when it snows give. They act like the weather caused the accident. If you are driving a boat fast enough at night that you cant see another boat, you are at fault regardless of if they have lights on or not. Although its not the situation here, I can assure you that there has been countless situations where people have been stranded at night with a bad battery in their boat which hasnt allowed them to turn on their navigation lights. In this case the people that shut their lights off are indeed in the wrong, but so are you for not driving according to conditions.
  11. i will never buy another ram again. Made the mistake once will never go back. My best buddy is driving a 2016, he just hit 170k and his truck is now eating oil. Dont even get me started on my eco diesel.
  12. just a sample of one of our double headers sight fishing! was an absolutely magical day to say the least.
  13. they were close to 50 the week before and then back up to 68 on saturday. Craziness. I have a small derby for family and friends up at my cottage on the 5th, and i have no idea what the heck to do!
  14. I agree physicality is an important aspect of the game. But I don’t think it’s shown through fighting In today’s NHL. In fact in the 90’s guys still didn’t fight in the playoffs. What they did do is handle themselves in the scrums and...try to concuss eachother with big hits. We saw exactly what happened to Kadri when he tried to play that angle. let the kids get seasoned a bit more. I think you will be surprised with how much tougher they’d get if they actually got deep into the playoffs. I think a lot of it has to do with age...it’s hard to be 20 years old and want to fight a bunch of grizzled 28+ year olds. It’s not like all of the leafs are small, in fact Babcock keeps talking every night about guys in camp getting thicker and using their body more. Look at how their D is being built, you’ve got a big stay at home d man paired with an agile puck moving d man. The leafs system needs guys that can move the puck to their forwards effectively. Their power is with their forwards, but if you can’t allow marner, tavares, Nylander and Matthews to attack up the ice with speed, the team won’t win a game. Also LOL At the canadians losing to the marlies Mannnn i cant wait for hockey to start!
  15. Hilarious Bill, went out Saturday and had my best day of the entire year...started deep, got skunked and went shallow lmao. Turns out the heat had the fish back in a spring pattern we were sight fishing them in 3fow it was absolutely nuts!
  16. The reality is chris...this doesn’t happen in the NHL anymore. ??‍♂️ Trust me, I agree, I was disappointed at the lack of response after that barrie hit on Saturday, at a bare minimum one of the young AHL guys you’d think would have stepped up to say “you aren’t doing that to Tyson barrie in a pre-season game” but nothing happened. so yes I agree, someone needs to punch the guy in the face when he throws a cheap shot, you don’t need to be a giant goon tough guy to punch a guy in the mouth if you are 6’0 something 200+ pounds even if you aren’t a scrapper you are a big athlete, at minimum you can give ristolinen a shot in the mouth but at the same time, you do realize that back in the day the enforcers fought the enforcers, it wasn’t like you saw Scott Stevens fighting Marty Mcsorely or Bob Probert all of the time. I would disagree with you if you think guys like kapanen, muzzin, zach hyman, Freddy the goat heck even spezza aren’t capable of holding their on out on the ice. They are all over 6’2 210. You don’t need to be a designated fighter that can’t skate or score to throw a few punches and hold your own. There is no fighting in the playoffs anyways when the season is actually on the line.
  17. You can’t be serious look at the worst part of the team from last year and compare it to this year. I’d say their defense looks very very different.
  18. Gonna do some of this this week and I’ll report back. Haven’t found a total pack like this in a while, but maybe I’ll go deeper.
  19. https://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=ON there is your answer
  20. I’m not necessarily a huge habs hater. I can at least respect the franchise for what it is. Ottawa is a totally different story. but ever since price had his run, the habs haven’t had more than a single 1st line player since they traded pacioretty and even then that was debatable upon his departure. I ask myself the same question every year, who in the hell is going to score for the habs? People in Montreal seem to think that having a single 30 goal scorer on the team makes them a cup contender. Meanwhile most good teams have guys on the third line that can pot close to that many goals lol. hell, the leafs have two guys capable of scoring 50 goals, plus a few that can score 30. im going to predict that the habs miss the playoffs, yet again. Im still convinced they fired bergy long ago he’s just too jacked and intimidating for anyone to actually force him out lol
  21. You gotta understand that going to the jays game on a Sunday/Saturday afternoon is not necessarily about the baseball for many of those in attendance. Especially with the team’s current roster. Unless they are belligerent, fighting, or touching you, I think you need to consider what you are getting upset about. A group of friends that purchased tickets to an event having a good time with their friends? What to do, is think about the fact that there are far worse things in life to concern yourself with.
  22. lmao, is that what weve come to? The leafs are so damn good now that all writers can critique is that our backup isnt good enough ?
  23. ive avoided ethanol like the plague the last few years buying only high octane ethanol free gas. I dont necessarily have to, but i do and I hope it protects my investment. I also run seafoam through the engine periodically and especially stabilize all of my fuel the month leading up to winterization. My motor is 22 years old and runs like a top. I intend to keep it running that way.
  24. yup, i didnt figure it out until it was too late to let you know. The bite was 20fow+ off of the edge of my best fishing spots. I was graphing them and dropping drop shots on their heads. youd mark a fish and 2 more would accompany it. Multiple times I was bringing a fish in and still graphing another. Id quickly unhook and drop back down and catch another instantly.
