Wayne, I haven't used anything yet to hold it down...the majority of the weight is on the engine side and it's resting on the auger handle bar support on another block of wood which is hard to see from the pics...the main auger shaft is sitting down in a 3" groove....I'll definately use a couple of bungies for added reassurance when the ATV is sitting in the back of the truck when I'm travelling down the highway, but so far so good....I hit a lot of drifts today on the river and the auger bounced a bit but not enough to cause me concern...

Got an idea from another lad and decided to build this ice auger carrier for my ATV....works like a charm! no more messin' around with bungies and having to worry about the auger bouncing around all over the ATV racks while driving on the trails and rivers/lakes...

Nice report Wayne...at least you were able to get out and get the lines wet!!!....I'm finally headin out on the river this afternoon for some Walleye action.....Is your portable a Frabill and is it the 2 man??

Morning Folks....I was just wondering if any OFC'ers have ever ice fished Bark, Carson, or Kamaniskeg lakes and if so, did they have any luck??? I've been to Bark Lake a few years back but the only fish we caught through the ice were Ling!!! WE fished the lake hard for 2 days and were a bit disappointed...

I also bought an F-150 with the tow package and it does have a tranny cooler...for me, it's piece of mind knowing that I have that extra cooling...

Paul, I've already "popped" a piston...even though it cost $70 to repair it...no thanks...I can put up with a bit of smoke...what I couldn't put up with was the downtime waiting for the parts to get ordered and delivered...

Dang it Glen ...ya had to show us that nice soft water and boat eh? ......well, all I can say is that it's not 60*F nor do we have 5 - 10mph winds here this morning...what WE DO HAVE is -18*C windchill (-0.4*F) and 44 - 67km/h winds (27 - 41mph) Here's what I get to look at today while sitting by the warm fire dreaming about soft water season ..... Oh, and by the way, thanks for the report and some nice looking fish pics
