Absolutely.. Terrance Gerritt William... That photo was taken the day before he was admitted to hospital.. He was not feeling well... but was still in good spirits... he passed less then 2 days later.. E. Coli.... You can see it in his eyes.. He was not feeling 100% I have thousands of photos of Terry.. but this one really hits home with me... Gerritt.

Thank you everyone for your words of support and understanding.. Truly the best people reside here. Many people from OFC experienced what happened 5 years ago... They were by my side when I needed them the most.. That is why I mentioned it being 5 years today.. So noone will ever forget just how precious our kids are..Sometimes we take for granted they will be there at the end of a long day at work offering up a hug that makes all the days stresses just disappear.... But for some this is not the case...For some those hugs are not there.... Give your kids a little something extra today.. Be it a hug, a smile or just a couple more minutes to watch tv with you.. It is hard to believe that tomorrow marks the 5th anniversary of my sons passing.... Where has the time gone? There has not been a single day/hour I have not thought of him.. and what he might have become... he would be 7 years old, in school, making friends, asking mom and dad to help him with his homework, causing a general raucous, and would no doubt be playing hockey... We would have liked to have experianced this with him.. but God needed him a little more... I reflect upon that time in my life alot.. and what it meant/means to me... and one thing keeps popping into my head... the amazing people here and how you all banded together to help a young family out... I thank everyone of you from the bottom of my heart, I honestly dont know how we did it without you... I have been a mess for the past couple of days knowing that this was coming... (tomorrow and fathers day really seem to get to me..) Alot of members here remember seeing pictures of my son, and remember when I told them about the worst day in my life.. I just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow marks 5 years... man our life on this earth is short... Hug your family, Say your prayers and most of all Love.. Gerritt.

Mercury Marine to become the exclusive provider of power steering for tiller handle outboard engines (Oct 02, 2007) - FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Mercury Marine and EngineSteer have agreed to an arrangement that grants Mercury Marine exclusive rights to the patent for applying power steering to outboard tiller handles. With this new agreement, Mercury Marine will become the only provider of power steering tiller handles for outboard engines. The power steering system will utilize many common parts currently used with Verado and OptiMax engines such as cylinders, hoses and the power steering pump. Tim Merten, spokesperson for EngineSteer, believes Mercury Marine will become a dominate player in the (tiller handle) market by offering power steering for large outboard engines. "EngineSteer is proud to partner with Mercury Marine in bringing this product to the market," Merten said. This agreement follows another recent announcement. In June, Mercury announced that it will soon begin production of three new tiller handles designed for large outboard engines, including 75-115 hp Mercury FourStroke outboards, 75-250 hp OptiMax outboards and 135-200 hp four-cylinder Verado Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) outboards. The new power steering tiller handle allows for adjustable steering pressure with the touch of a finger and has zero engine feedback while steering the boat. A bypass valve allows the outboard to be manually steered when the engine is not running. "These zero-feedback tiller handles will provide a great advantage to fisherman with large outboard engines," said Mike Reilley, product manager for Mercury Control and Rigging Systems. "We are excited to form this partnership with EngineSteer." The new tiller handle will be available through any authorized Mercury dealer beginning in January of 2008. Merc's news release G.

I am "chill" I just wanted to let everyone know about the docking situation. I will be there... I will have fun with the guys and all will be right with the world again.. G.

I need to make a quick note here to everyone... I just got off the phone with Merland Park letting them know I will just bunk up in another cabin instead of taking the unit 5kms down the road... I informed Kevin's wife that I will be bringing my boat. Seems they are charging for guaranteed dock space.. $10.00 per day (I am used to paying for dock space this is not an issue) the issue is all the dock space has been sold..If a space becomes available it will be first come first serve.. but as of right now they are full. So that means I will be pulling my boat out at the end of the day and launching it in the morning. I also assume others amongst us will be doing the same.. Just a heads up for those of you bringing boats.. be prepared to pull em out One would think with all the hassles our group (Slowpoke,Grant,Vator and myself) have been put through Docking should be provided for our boats.. it is the least they could do as a good will gesture.. I am still trying to wrap my head around all this without blowing a gasket.. FYI Gerritt.
