Well, my usual fishing partner (fiancee) has a bridal shower to go to on Sunday afternoon...so maybe....just MAYBE I will get out. somewhere. Not sure where yet....but if I do, there will be a report.

I've had the local MNR office provide me with depth charts of area lakes...I don't know if they would have one for Nipissing, being so big, but, maybe those smaller ones.

but it's allll part of the fun, isn't it?

Great report, Limey! In my experience with jerkbait walleye...I also find that a couple of fish will get caught quickly, then the action dies off. I've done well changing the baits up quickly...as soon as a few casts go by without a hit, I'll throw a similar lure in a different colour, and get a couple more. Action dies down, I change up again....maybe another hypothesis to test? I mean, since I'M not doing anyhting, and YOU live on the lake, with all the fish, and ...jealousy taking over....cannot type anymore.... LOL Keep up the great reports!

I haven't heard of it, but I don't think you can go wrong trying out a new lake in the Temagami area....mark it on your calendar, and go nuts!

Hey all...I just spent the weekend at the in-laws (to be, in a month and a half) place on Gull Lake, near Minden. Scoping things out, it would seem that we're a hop skip and a jump from a few Muskie lakes in the immediate area. The most notable one I can see is Balsam...just wondering if anyone has input on some of the smaller ones on the area. Of course I'm not looking for specific spots, but, I'm curious if there are public launches on Cranberry or Head Lakes, and if anyone's got an opinion as to whether I would be wasting my time on them compared to the nearby Balsam. Not that I won't get out there anyway...just lookin' for a place to start. PM's are just as welcome as replies, so as not to give any well-kept secrets away. Thanks!
