  2. MMMmm...gotta love icefishing in May...
  3. Lots of sleds going out from Innisfil...and lots of slush! From what I've been hearing, fewer and fewer ATV's...
  4. Smelts all day, eh? Different strokes for different folks, I guess I would have fun catching them, but, don't think I'd be able to resist the lure of lakers!
  5. Great info, smbhunter....I've been eying this lake for a little while now...maybe this year I'll get a chance to hit it up.

  8. That whitie is a beast...can't wait to see the big laker Good job!
  9. Also seen a nerf mini football used as a float for the 'ducer...same concept...except pipe wrape would be easier to put on...nothing to thrread through.
  10. Seen that one around for a while now...it's amazing. There was an even better one on YouTube, but I can no longer find it...basically a tranport trailer done right up...called it the Bellagio or something...named it after one of the big Vegas Casinos....
  11. Very nicely done! OFC comes to the rescue...again! Thanks for sharing your success
  12. I like the way you think, GBW Nice little project for me to work on this week...
  13. I was wondering if someone was going to mention that...but talking about fishing on Temagami can get a guy so excited that all kinds of stuff just starts coming out Still waiting on the pics of the LING, Wayne....
  14. I'm actually taking my old humminbird out this weekend, if only to help me locate a certain underwater structure...any recommendations on insulating the batteries? I'm thinking some foam, or some bagged fiberglass stuff from the attic wrapped around it...???
  15. Look like a mister-twister phenom, except with a paddle tail. Rig'em up a few different ways and see what happens...texas, wacky, go nuts! We will know your report by the tagline "Mystery Basement Worms = Lunker Bass"
  16. nice eye! And nice free bait Looks like it's hardly been used...real low mileage...
  17. AWeome stuff!!! Way to go, MNR
  18. Once your bitten by a bug, the conditions just don't matter..in this case it's the rush of doing what you love AND cheating death
  19. Cudz -- so far this year I'm seeing the most success on spoons, then bad boyz. I'm one for two, and it was a silver williams jigging spoon with a small patch of green prism tape. But most of the success around me has been on spoons...with fish being about 3-4 feet off bottom. WHen fish were right on bottom, I caught mine, and the guys doing well around me were using bad boyz.
  20. I hit a back lake for largies that has produced 3 bass with birds in their bellies....increase the size of the fish, the bird, it makes sense.
  21. So, it looks like the old thread kinda died. Ummm...let's see what happens if we pick a date like... FEBRUARY 29th. It's a Sunday. I'll finally get to cross BOQ off my list...if folks wanna make it a weekend thing, go for it...I have to work Saturday, so LakerJessy and I'd drive out Sat. night and stay over, or just leave REAL early Sunday morning from Mississauga. Anybody???
  22. Some nice lookin' fish! Sounds like those williams spoons are the ticket so far this year...
  23. If it's a manufacturer's warranty (as opposed to 3rd party) then I say YAH
  24. Hmmm...Timmins, eh? I'm guessing it's pretty thick! You could always try calling up some of the local baitshops....
  25. Hey doc -- welcome aboard. Just go to THIS web page There is a ton of info on this site...most importantly..stocking lists! Just click on the drop down menu near the top of the page that says "Select a Stewardship Council" Pick the region you want, and many of them will have stocking lists posted Tell you what...pick a few lakes, and instead of sending info back my way, just call me up and show me how to nail brookies through the ice It's on my list of things to do....
