  9. welcome to fishing i know what you mean you seem young if you like to fish and be around that kind of atmosphere you should consider sir sanford flemming college in the peterborough area they offer plenty of courses in this field mind you its just a suggestion im 29 and i think today maybe thats what i should have done since i am so obsessed with this great outdoor activity but when your young youre stubborn at times there is nothing wrong with fishing just dont abuse the resources FinS

  13. hi guys im looking to buy my first centerpin and rod for this upcoming season any recomendations on where i can buy one in or around the Windsor London area i was looking at the okuma aventa centerpin and the matching rod Is this any good note i am a beginner i cant afford an islander at this time as i know they are good my budget is between $250 - $350 need your opinions from the floaters around here or even better if you know anyone that is upgrading to a newer one and getting rid of their older centerpin and rod id be interested just PM me need this before October thanks

  16. i call them fish lice it is a sign of worms in the meat out of my experience the most common fish i found with this are perch pike and smallmouth bass

  19. awesome report Mike i havent been on here for awhile no time to fish too busy with the kids the lake where you ventured out to looks very familiar u should have brought some big herring with you i am happy you didnt drive all the way down with the crv ive got stuck there about 10 years ago with a little ford ranger mind you the road was alot better 10 years ago it wasnt fun either and i remember that old garbage scow boat lol i cant believe its still there wtg keep em coming hopefully ill beable to get out for some river steel this fall
  20. welcome aboard well it looks like u will have to bite the bullet anything under 4 meters in length u must have a boaters card
  21. wtg for your first time next time try using 1 cup flour and 1 pack of crushed crackers add to a zip lock bag get a few eggs scramble them up add a little milk place fillets in egg wash then add to flour & cracker mixture then repeat ready for the oil i like to soak my fillets in pickling vinegar for 5-10 minutes then the egg wash and flour and cracker mix try it u might like it add a little salt and u have a pickeral dinner

  24. get yourself a coffee or tobbaco can punch some small holes maybe 1/8" piece of liver in a ziplock back with holes in the bag toss it in a spot where there is alot of fathead minnows check it before sunrise and u should be in buisness note u are only allowed 1 leech trap per fishing licence which cannot exceed 17 inches in any way works for me everytime
