  1. All that concrete...skateboarding park.
  2. I doubt this was in Ontario, she referred to calling RCMP. I hope they responded and charge her.
  3. A letter to the editor of the local newspaper may get better results than a phone call to the TIPS line. No-one likes to be embarrassed in print.
  4. As others have suggested, coat the underside with fiberglass and resin to act as both a sealer and a barrier from the corrosive action of the PT wood.
  5. Marine Max 1632 Wilson St W, Ancaster, ON L0R 1R0 (905) 304-5313
  6. That is also why my Jetta is over 300000 Km trouble free without excess oil consumption between regularly scheduled oil and timing belt changes. (Darn I just jinxed myself)
  7. You had to be there. What happens at a GTG stays at a GTG...
  8. The only thing better than being able to explore Canada’s great outdoors, would be getting paid to do it. Luckily for Canadians everywhere, there’s now a company willing to do just that. Woods Canada is looking for two adventurers to “hike, paddle, climb and camp” the Trans Canada Trail. The lucky winners will each be paid $20,000 for the five-month gig, plus just over $5,000 in spending money with the additional possibility of a $2,000 bonus. The best news is, there really doesn’t seem to be a catch. The adventure would run from May 12 to September 30, 2015, and the only thing you’re really expected to do other than explore is document your journey by taking videos and photos (but wouldn’t you be doing that anyway?). And if you’re not a rugged, piss-and-vinegar type outdoorsman, don’t worry about it. The position only calls for basic skills in hiking, climbing, paddling and portaging. “More extreme disciplines like technical mountain climbing or canoeing through rapids will NOT be a requirement for this job,” the description reads. In fact, professional guides will be deployed to help escort the explorers through some of the more challenging locations. All related travel and accommodation costs will also covered. To apply, all you need to do is submit a one-minute video stating why you’re the best person for the job, along with your resume. The deadline is April 17. So what are you waiting for? The adventure of a lifetime is just clicks away! Here is the link: https://www.woodsdreamjob.com/JobDetails/
  9. As OP I feel that all viewpoints have been exhausted. Lets' shut this one down while it is still worth reading. I think this thread may be on the verge of descending into a rant fest.
  10. Until they can show DNA from the deer off the bullet I will take that claim with a barrel of salt.
  11. My condolences.
  12. I am not sure how I feel about this. 300 yards with a .270 not the most careful of shots in my opinion. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/5539994-ex-nhler-stan-jonathan-s-charges-dropped-in-tragic-hunting-death/ The criminal charges against former NHL player Stan Jonathan in the hunting death of Peter Kosid have been withdrawn. RELATED STORIES ‘One careless shot and my husband... Crown attorney George Orsini told the Superior Court of Justice in Brantford on Thursday that his office was withdrawing the charges of criminal negligence causing death and careless use of a firearm against the retired Boston Bruin and Six Nations hockey star. Jonathan, 59, was not present for the announcement. Orsini said that on Nov. 11, 2012, Jonathan was hunting with his brother on Six Nations land near Third Line Road, where he spotted what he believed to be a deer from 300 yards away. Using a .270 Weatherby Magnum Mark V, a high-powered rifle, Jonathan took a single shot. The brothers found Jonathan's target and realized it was actually a man wearing camouflage. Orsini said the brothers called 9-1-1 and said a prayer for the deceased man, who was later identified as Kosid, a Hamilton resident who was bow hunting on a friend's land. Kosid was shot in the back at approximately 8 a.m. Six Nations Police arrested and charged Jonathan on Nov. 14, 2012. "There is no question Mr. Jonathan thought he was shooting at a deer," Orsini said. Orsini said that after further case review, there isn't sufficient evidence to prove the criminal charges. Justice Alan Whitten said the circumstances of the shooting are "very tragic," but he can understand the Crown attorney's decision to withdraw the charges. Kosid, 28, was engaged to be married at the time of his death. His son was eight months old when he passed away.

  14. It has to be done on a form supplied by Service Ontario.
  15. Paging Mike Borger....
  16. It missed, pause at 1:16 1:17 and I see two cats.
  17. It depends on the age of the car, older than 15 years, reciept will carry. Newer than 15 years, book value or appraisal whichever is lower. A lot of corner car lots are getting into the "appraisal" business. I just had one done for a car I own, saved me some coin on tax.
  18. My apologies....
  19. Me too! We all understand that ads generate revenue, and I have a list of advertisers that are "permitted", however looking at ads for completely irrelevant goods and services takes away from the enjoyment of this site's content.
  20. I found that as of two days ago this site will no longer load if I have my ad blocking extension enabled. A bit of a drag for as I come here for the content not the advertisments.
  21. Well they are obviously malnourished, look at how aggressively they are feeding.
  22. Google earth is a wonderful thing. The wry pronouncement of Plenty of Parking made me laugh.
  23. I would suggest that you not pick a location by committee, but simply pick one. Dictate the time, the place and format, and everyone who is interested will fall into line. I'm at the head of that line BTW. Great idea!
