  1. It is a Lund 1775 Tournament Pro V not an IPS hull, with a late 90's vintage Mariner 2 stroke that is north of 100 HP. Side console with bow mount trolling motor. Has anyone fished this type of hull and if so, what are your thoughts on the boat? Thanks.
  2. I talked to a marine mechanic that I trust implicitly, and he said that I dodged a small caliber bullet. The motor on this boat was quite unique, it was a dual prop Yamaha and apparently if anything goes wrong with the lower unit, it is very expensive to repair. So, there's that.
  3. If there is one good deal, there will be another. However, this was a nice rig!
  4. So I have had my eye on this boat for the past four days, contacted the seller and made arrangements to come by and view the boat. Went up to the area on Friday that the boat was at, (north Kawarthas) to help out a buddy with changing out his house water pump. Spoke with the seller thursday evening indicating that would like to come Friday morning or Sat afternoon to look at the boat. Friday didn't work for the seller so Saturday it is. Confirmed the meeting Saturday morning and went for a 3 hour fishing trip. While enroute I tried to get ahold of the seller to get the address and when he finally answered he told me the boat just sold. To make matters worse, as I was continuing my drive home grumbling and complaining to myself, I saw the buyer towing the boat that I wanted to buy. IT WAS SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you just bought a Skeeter today and some fool was leaning out his window and giving you the finger....that was me. The joys of Kijiji.

    Pontypool

    Thanks a lot guys gentlemen!
  6. Does anyone know the closest launch to Pontypool? I want to lake test a boat. Tomorrow or Saturday.
  7. Darn onions... Very moving. I really admire your artistry Ryan. Thank you.
  8. It's about &^*(*&)(*&*&%&$&^%$ time, Kelvin! Enjoy yourself.
  9. That will snap the exhaust manifold, but crush the exhaust pipe. A sawzall (battery powered) will cut through the bolts attaching the exhaust system to the manifold easily.
  10. Could have, but someone's phone wasn't in operation.... Once again I am not naming names to spare myself any embarrassment.
  11. You want a picture: Bear in mind I'm about 5'2" with lady hands
  12. My fishing partner was right, 332 views and not a single reply.
  13. Went out with a friend today for some cats somewhere between the dam and Erie on the Grand River. We had an epic day, alternating net duties, until a certain someone who will remain un-named messed up the MOJO and caught a fish out of turn.... The numbers: over the course of four hours we boated 12 cats ranging from 5 - 15 pounds. The most caught were 7 pounds (ish). The bonus catch was a snapping turtle, that was deep hooked and wanted nothing to do with our rescue efforts. So rather than sacrificing a finger we cut the line. I hope he'll be OK. He was deep hooked so hook removal would have been impossible. No pics so, it didn't happen. *Or did it???*

    Jackpot!

It was not me. Something I saw on another site.
  15. Imagine pulling this up:
  16. Was Roloff *puts on shades* ticked off?
  17. I think, not pointing fingers mind you, that a certain young man on this board may be the subject of this video.
  18. Oh, I agree, 1700 would be plenty of power with that engine. That is a gas engine, 2800 is roughly 60% of red line, on a diesel that is 50% of redline. *percentages made up on the spot and may not reflect an accurate rendering of the facts.
  19. Here is my Mustang, currently for sale.
  20. At 110 (GPS) 120 ish on the speedo I rev 2600. I think I have small tires.
  21. My older brother had one like that as well, if I recall the seats reclined all the way to make a great "sleeping" area
