Bill if its certified they will look after ya ,the seals are reasonable I have an account with GM ,ive done my own tranny on my last truck and one in a buddys,ive also totally rebuild a few transfer cases the transfer cases are very simply ,pull the drive shafts ,block up the trans ,pull the transfer case out ,the shift forks and chains went in the ones I fixed ,the only problem doing it yourself is getting covered in tranny fluid

E-Tecs are 2 strokes ,but they meet the required Emissions EPA crap so they can run them ,the V6 Etecs are good solid engines the rest of the E tec line up well thats for another post ,I Sold my E Tec last fall ,will I buy another, NEVER ,my next chunk of boat cash will go towards a Modern day 4 stroke
  8. hmmm is it turning over slow sluggish like ,or is it whirling it over pretty quick ,if its cranking it to slow it wont start,either your batterys getting weak or your starters gonna need some attention

  11. Saying that a friend has a tundra and at 130000 kms the tranny went. 3600 hundred later for the tranny and he is making payments on a tranny and truck. He told me his next car will be a gm because parts are cheaper and the wreckers are full of them NO!!!!!!!!! cant belive it, you sir are a Lieing to us good folks,Toyotas are gods gifts of Vechiles and will never break down now you take that back,lol have ya decided on your next truck Yet Beertech theres some great deals to be had

GMs 6.5 L DIESEL was crap no arguements but the 4.3-5.0 -and 5.7 they built the 350 from what 1954 ish,toughest and most widely used engine around the 89-98 Chevys are argueably the best trucks chev built.there still many around with 3-4-5 hundred thousand kms on them some on orig engines ,My tranny in my last chev let go after 270 +th kms and turning big rubber most of its life,your Tundra threads make me laugh lets give them 5-6 yrs out there and report back on whats broke and how great the # 4 Auto builder is then,that is if there not back in Japan making 4 cly Tercels by then

Richy I took first and reverse outta my last Z71 on some bush road stuck in skidder ruts,tore it down the bands snapped dammit afterwards ive been told its common in the 4l60E ,found a used one for 500.00 in the local buy sell,ran it for another 50 thou kms and sold it guys still driving it just find yourself a good used one,and the trannys are different it will bolt up to your engine but the tailstocks are way different he has a transfer case bolted on his you have along tail cone ,guys do swap the output shafts over in them but its not something id reccomend ,guys over on Fullsizechevy .com do all kinds crap like that ha
  15. no problem your gonna have a hard time moving that tank with a fan cooler ,you can put a FC in there ,try and find a 521 there snotty lil engines
  16. 521 was in it but 440-470-500-582-583-670 all them twin cyl motors drop in with your orig mounts without much fuss

  18. pull the heads on it fairly easy ,or take a long handle screwdriver pull the plugs out insert screwdriver and turn over slowly if theres slack or clanking a rod bearing let go,id fix it for ya if it was closer ,could very well be a crank bearing,I wouldent force it around to much if its stopping you can do more damage
  19. Ebay changed there Feedback system theres no more Negative,if there was any Negatives they all got erased when the new system came in ,Ebay likes to look after the scum to ,they get there cut and could give a poop about the buyer it seems
  20. would it turn over once it cooled off,tell ya powering thru that slush is tough on them ,those Rotary 500s are tough,but nothing lasts forever,300.00 for a set of 20 thou Wisecos ,80 cyl to bore em ,get a crank from Adrien Bernard for 400.00 and a gasket set for 80.00 ya got yourself a new plant, hopefulloy the rotary faces arent all scared from metal fragments and the brass gear survived the lock up your good to go.I do 3-4 Rotary Rebuilds a winter 1000.00 plus your own labour your back in buisness

  22. yeah the ole sheriff was peeved should be ,same poop happens every single yr ,and people put lives in danger, Rescue personal ,Coast Guard cutters, Helis aint cheap they used a piece of plywood as a bridge,common sense goes a long way
