after several incidents with My E Tec ..I could not get rid of that junk fast enough..Kiss your mechanic goodbye..Ya ...I've never spent so much time at a marina.....we have them on our work boats ..Trim unit caught on fire..Sensor went 22 miles off shore motor stayed in S.L.O.W position ..wanna have a look under the bench in cardboard boxs at the Etec powerheads blown up...No thanks ..self winterizing really,,it revs up for 30 seconds smokes a lil then shuts off..good luck with that ..

oil changes ,,stabil for sure..grease the pivots..wax it up ...Skeeter yes that's great preventative maintenance..not as needed on 4 stroke but good on ya for giving her a lil oil for the cold winter months

Great ..Congrats ..so what kinda numbers are you seeing with that 60

can you water test it ...propped right should run ok..I find the 50/60 hp 4 strokes struggle for top end

they will hike the gas tax or some other scheme to make up the difference..its all a distraction they wanna keep you busy while they hide something else..have a look at the stock market

All there trying to do is shut down our Pipeline Project..because our spineless quivering bleeding heart government finally had the balls to step and say enough!!! ..by 2018 our gas costs will be stable and reasonable

Thanks for all the help fellas..I haven't gotten a TM yet..I I think ill stick with a 55 as I only want one Battery up there..so ill find a Min Kota with the Transducer built in that works with a decent FF for the Bow and I'm set...ill run power to the main so no interference...awesome

Fellas looking for a decent set up ..Bow Mount Min kota 65 pd thrust ish...Fish finder that works with it so it tracks itself ...Whats Required ? and will it all run off one Large capacity 12 V Battery..How much run time will I get off a full charge...New to this Bow mount stuff..thanks for any and all help appreciated

are you guys actually putting them where they suggest ? an inch from the bottom ? ..kinda makes me cringe putting two holes in the bottom of the live well and expecting a lil bit of silicone to stop it from leaking..any advice

we just pull all the hoses off the block at the lowest points and remove the drain cocks from the manifolds etc ..check the gear lube like Bernie said if its milky ..drop it and change it ..remember that water got in somehow thou..good time for new seals both gear case and drain screws...Shrink wrap is the only way to go @ 10.00 ft

Ask anyone with a similar Yammy and they'll tell ya they're great on fuel. Numbers though... I dunno specifics. Can tell you, I could go an entire season 50-75 days and not burn a half liter of oil.
