  7. ... and Colorado lows start out as Alberta Clippers!
  8. I like Power Pro! The key to keeping the line from digging into the spool it to really pack it on during intial spooling. This requires tightening down your drag and spooling the line on under tension, I like to use a damp dish towel and pinch the line inbetween it with my thumb and index finger... it should take effort to crank the handle to spool the line! Since you're using a fluro leader I'm guessing you don't have your drag set very tight, which will make the line "loose" on the top of the spool. You can solve this by making a long cast and tightening your drag down to put tension on the spool again, or drag the line behind your boat letting out line until you hit the "hard spooled" line... then reel it back in under tension.
  9. Whew!!! I'm glad that's over now!... it got really, really bad for a while there with accumulations of a whole inch!!!... and drifting up to an inch and a half in someplaces!!! ... making it the worst snow storm in 10 yrs. here! ... but the sun is out, the temps are up to 48*F, and all the snow is gone!!! Heck!... it even made the news! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29453310

  20. A Musky cradle from Cabelas: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&hasJS=true ... but like Roy mentioned, a cradle is a 2 person operation. I think you'd do much better with one or 2 of these Lindy gloves. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults Here's the link for the Lindy at Cabelas, they're a little more expensive there but I'm posting it for the product reviews... you should read them! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...rset=ISO-8859-1

  23. Photobucket is your friend.
  24. Yeah, be a little more kind to the camera angle and hold the fish in closer to your body... if it's a good fish, it'll still look big! Even with the "long arm" pose I can tell that's a very fine Laker!!! ... and that's a heckuva crappie you're holding in your avatar!!!
  25. You'll catch more fish faster with a spinning rod and reel, and at a fraction of the cost!
