  1. I was wondering if you were ever going to do another report Phil. Great report and pics!!! Cute Perchies too!
  2. Those were waaaaay before my time!
  3. Nobody said anything about ripping anybody off in our replies, Kemper may have gotten burned for paying full price for the reel... but a slightly used reel such as that does have some value left in it... sounds like it may be a good candidate for parts. Your amazement is amazing!!! ...btw, can I borrow your Rose Tinted Glasses?
  4. *insert group hug emoticon here* Nowhere in our posts did we say that Kemper should decieve the buyer if he should decide to sell the reel, and in reality... he would only recoop part of his loss. The reel may not work for him as a casting reel but may work for someone else as a trolling or drop shot reel. As far as the "attacking you" thing goes... I would say we were only defending ourselves from your need to bash your neighbors to the south and to judge all Americans from the statements of just 2. Have a nice day and try not to work yourself into another snit!!!
  5. Great report and pics!!! Some nice chunky Green Trout too!!!
  6. Sure it is!... but we're also smart enough to know that when you buy "used" you're buying someone else's problems... that's why we have the saying "Buyer beware". Why else would somebody be selling something like that? If it was worth a crap, they'd keep and use it!... or have you not figured that part out yet?
  7. Good report and pics Mike!!!
  8. Happy Birthday Boyz!!! Best Fishes to ya!!!
  9. Great lookin' fish and Pontiac!!!

  12. Nice topwater 'Skie!!!
  13. That's a real nice Green Trout you got there!!!
  14. I really enjoy fishing strip pits like that! I've found that wearing camo clothing and staying low or hiding behind trees and rocks really helps when the water is crystal clear like that. My lures and bait of choice in pits is a 1/8th oz. white inline spinner on 4 lb test on ultra lite tackle, or a single #6 baitholder hook with a 3 in. piecs of live worm with a BB shot about 18" up from the hook on the same tackle.
  15. If I've heard that fish story once... I've heard it a million times!... No pics... No Believe!!! Just kiddin' ya! Congrats on your PB SMB!!!
  16. I almost forgot... Have a Nice Day!!!
  17. Be proud of it! ... pass the Maple syrup please...
  18. ...it's probably just me, but I find it unusual for a Newbie to the board to dig up a 13 month old thread to make his first post on... and that that post would be a hear/say theory pointing to the MNRs ineptitudes of choosing a toxic aquatic herbacide when there are quite a few that aren't toxic to fish that they can choose from. Like these: http://aquanic.org/publicat/usda_rac/efs/srac/361fs.pdf We have a little lake down here in Alabama called Lake Guntersville, I'm sure that some of the folks on this board that follow the B.A.S.S and FLW tournies on TV have heard of it. The Tennessee Valley Authority and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have been battling an outbreak of exotic invasive Milfoil and Hydrilla on the lake for years with both aerial spraying and other conventional means of dispersing aquatic herbacides... not not once has there been a fish kill on the lake from these chemicals! Carp or otherwise! We have had fish kills in other large lakes (Lake Eufaula for example) from viruses similar to your Carp virus up there. Given the the choice between the 2 explanations (virus vs. herbacide) the virus explanation sounds much more credible to me.
  19. Great report and pics!!!
  20. You're a good man Sam!
  21. Yup! It's short for SHI_ MAN! Oh what a beautiful reel!!!
