Your thoughts on water clearity from zebra muscles
bucktail replied to mike rousseau's topic in General Discussion
Its definatly moved fish deeper I think. But I also think it has been a boom for certain sight feeders like bass. I am wondering if we are going to be seeing a big crash of bass in Erie or is there enough good hatches to carrie the population. -
Very SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Want to head down to the Detroit River for the first time sometime over the next month. I was wondering where the launches are and which ones are the closest and best to use. Thanks Darren

Dont buy the original Go Pro if you find it on the net for sale. They dont service them anymore, youll get an optin for some money to get a go pro2. It is awesome. I have the video of my big muskie from last summer on it somewhere. Remeber the go pro2 has a display which really is needed so you can edit on the fly.

Well i read the reports of guys not being too impressed with the new Curado but they were on cheap last week at BPS and I have always been a Curado guy ( own 5 ) so I picked one up. I have to admit it doesnt feel "tight". The gears feel like they are stamped poor quality metal. Since \\I dont feel like takiing the drill and some toothpaste I think its going back with me to BPS and Ill upgrade it to Chronarch. Not that it was a bad reel but it just didnt feel tight like the older silver ones. Just a heads up.

Be there in the morning bright and early. I got a hold of a Core online and want to match it up with something uber light, All my casting outfits are fairly heavy so I was thinking of a light crankbait Loomis maybe even an NRX?? What would you match it with?

Ill look for a bearing kit at BPS in the morning, btw I got a new |Core for 250 new of ebay and am going in search of a rod for it. Any one going to be there in the morning?

Please never stop posting!!!! Can you post the pictures of the groceries and the prices you took a couple years ago. I was hoping to show my daughter. That laker is a maker baby!!!

Yep I got bearing buddies on but the inside seal on the left rear leaks grease onto the inside rim. They spin nice and I am always "topping" them up with freah grease every month or two. Is it worth it to replace that inner seal or will just adding grease solve that> Trailer is 6 years old and on the same set of tires with no side to side movement.

Just wondering when bearings should be replaced and or repacked. since its that time of year. I have never done it before and was wondering if places sell whole bearing kits including seals? I have a 22l Shorelander, I think it takes 1and 1/16 inch but I am not sure. The online owners manual didnt really help too much. Any help would be appreciated.

I find it interesting that people use braid smaller then 30lb on their baitcasters. Line diameter is very important for braid on baitcasters, smaller then 30lb and the line with its smooth surface will bind down on to the spool resulting in some nasty backlashes that do not want to come out. Something to consider when you spool up the baitcaster.

Companies are finally putting good hooks on there lures. |For years they put garbage hooks on there lures. Rapala bought out a hook company ( name is on the tip of my brain ) and have been putting good hooks on for the last few years. I replace hooks if the fish I intend to fish for are large. I usally get the 2x strong ones. Also if they show any sort of corrosion or bending I replace them.

Wow I go there occasionally, love there selection of bass gear VERY up to date, but I also get the feeling "im not part of the club". All I want when I go into a place is " Hey hows it going? can I help you?" Maybe it comes from the feeling its very tournament oriented and if your not a tourney guy they think your just a weekend warrrior, not that its an excuse.

Brian...I know whats up, sometimes when you care about your job and other things the stress mounts iinside when you percieve your not able to do it all or make it better. Its called caring too much, unfortunatly its a price that comes with caring and many of guys have the right idea by making yourself step back and let other people pick some slack up. Its a good quality, be proud of that. D

I am starting to feel like an old man with my cork handled rods ( mostly Loomis and St Croix ). Can someone who switched from cork to foam please offer up there opinion on there likes and dislikes. Is there any difference in sensitivity and more important handling in cold weather. I have a Core on the way and want it to be a part of a super light weight crankbait combo for smallies and such. Thanks Darren

Suffix 832 really is the way to go, I was really impressed with it last year and I have used all three extensively. -
I have no idea why Don hates Burke so much, but one thing is for sure . The Leafs are in there usual 12th in the east and Burke has had enough time for his "plan" to show results. He should have been fired as well.

Whats the best way to slow my boat down for trolling?
bucktail replied to coreyhkh's topic in General Discussion
do what Idid gain 70 pounds! -
I go right down the center with a frog or crank looking for the active fish on the outside edges then start back up with a frog and a jig picking apart the cover spots that look like people havnt been using much. You could spend a good 45 minutes in there. God I wish I was there right now!!

Super good luck to you man!!!
