  1. thanks for the report Simon, great pics
  2. very nice what lures do you use for winter speck fishing ?
  3. I have to agree with solopaddler, about having a decent coffee even when roughing it: a good coffee is as important as having a quality rod and reel on those fly ins or interior trips in into Algonquin, most of these guys won't think twice about spending thousands on fishing or hunting equipment .... I wouldn't ccompare them to women with make-up kits ... LOL I bring in an a single cup espresso machine that goes on the burner and makes a helluva coffee , i have a few of those everyday ,,, and it packs real nice .....
  4. way to go ... glad to hear it was resolved .... I have been to the US many times and their customer service is phenomenal compared to ours (i'm just talking about big stores though) i shop at CT regularly so this is good to hear ....

I know that even the "Dry Fit" stuff will feel uncomfortable after a long hike like that unless you can air it out cheers

  17. I know how you feel "wormdangler" My buddy that I have fished with for more than 25 yrs , is now reluctant to get out , he will only make it if his wife is working otherwise its always a no go he's been married over 25 yrs , so you would think that compromising on both sides is nothing new oh well ... my son is now going to be my best fishing partner (he's still a young teenager and involved in lots of different activities .. so we'll just have to make the time).... thats my new years resolution cheers
