  1. Check any Call these guys, Honda Ready Powersports in Mississausage, it's a common filter for motorcycles, outboards, etc. http://www.readypowersports.com/en/
  2. Amsoil EAOM103, WIX 51365 or any of the Yamaha 13440 series. WIX will probably be the cheapest but good quality. Any of the Honda 15410 series also fits, easy to get at any motorcycle shop. Avoid FRAM like the black plague.
  3. I looked for a while, only thing I could find was replace in accordance with manufacturers recommendation.
  4. Got one from Rogers.Inc yesterday claiming they had overcharged me and were going to send me back $24.53. Hahahahaha, like Rogers would give you a refund.
  5. Can't find the old section, but, my 2002 had the reference. I had to do a change of address, my street name and postal code changed.
  6. Wonder what they were fishing for at that time of day. Pretty sad for the one family.
  7. Only if none of the information changes such as owner address.
  8. You ought to see what's crawling around inside the human body. ?
  9. Oh ya, love those dragonflies, not to forget the little brown bats.
  10. Makes excellent fire starter, plastic melter and works pretty good for the bugs. I've still got a couple of little containers from army days. Just for applying to clothes.
  11. I had the bug net hat for the weekend, I'm claustrophobic(ask me about an MRI episode, lol) but the bug hat was fine. It's that space between but net hat and shoulders that gets hammered. Had to wear socks over pant legs. I may try a cheap one for now.
  12. After this weekend up N/E of North Bay I have come to the rapid conclusion that anything short of 100% deet just doesn't work. Mosquitos the size of Hummingbirds and a stabbers just about as long. The Thermacell units worked pretty good but as soon as you were out of the "zone" you became fair bait. Does anyone have any recommendations for a 1 piece bug jacket. Thanks.
  13. One more thing, I check every year to see if Transport Canada has added anything to the list of "safety" items required. Couple years ago they added a real compass to the list, not GPS or phone with compass.
  14. What the others said, I put mine under my lawn chair by the fire, keeps the little buggers away.
  15. Two weeks ago had to tow a brand new one back after it went in about a foot and a half of water, went into the overheat mode, no rad fan. needless to say the owner was beyond pi***ed. They "may" be getting better but when you're at zero on the scale and go up 1 point I guess you can call that a 100% improvement. Friends don't let other friends buy polaris.
  16. Oh boy, can of worms. The ones to buy, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. CF Moto is a new kid on the block however so far they seen to do well in reliability. Of the above 4+1, you may have to travel a bit to find a dealer but don't rule out the one you want because of that. The above models generally cost a bit more and fall under the caveat of "you get your moneys worth", rather than I bought the cheaper one but now I'm in the repair shop more than I want to be. Personal choice, Yamaha 450 or 700 Grizzly or Kodiak. More than strong enough and gentle on the gas. I've been around Yamaha models that had over 10K kilometers with just the basic maintenance, oil, tires, battery and maybe a lightbulb or two. Zero transmission problems, Zero belt problems, without a doubt Yamaha has the best drive train out there. Honda has grown up and improved on their machines, still lacking in ground clearance a bit. As for the ones to avoid, in no particular order Polaris, CanAm/BRP and Arctic Cat, (now Textron). I've seen too many Polaris ones first time out with problems, electrical gremlins, drive train gremlins, belts getting soaked and having to be towed back. Not starting in the cold. Can/Am clean out of the showroom, transmission problems related to electronics. Leaky oil and rad pumps. Arctic Cat, leave them in the litter box. There is another brand out now, Argo makes an ATV, the jury isn't saying much but rumblings I've heard, their ARGO 6x6 and 8x8 is what they are best at. Undoubtedly there will will be some that say their Polaris has never failed or their Canned Ham is bullet proof, It's like trying to write a story at -30 with a ball point pen in the snowbank. You pay now or you cry and pay for repairs and rebuilds.
  17. Well after a week and numerous recommendations of "what would you do" , it appears nothing was done, makes you wonder why even bother posting it.
  18. Just came back from an ATV ride up there in Wildman Forest, some of those trails still have virtual lakes on them. Every now and then they non ATVers get caught and pay.
  19. They haven't been educated yet, neither are the stores selling pickeral, I'm sure they're not commercially harvested. ?
  20. I can believe what OF said, had the same experience sort of about 30+ years ago. Lightning hit a tree across the road, blew 2 receptacles out of the wall on that guys house and left a black carbon track across his ceiling. Then found out a day later it made a mess of my neighbours power panel and fried his dryer.
  21. Maybe saving the keel from getting banged up while retrieving. I like the self centering ones better.
