Hey guys, I was looking at getting another boat from the states, boat is 1993 sylvan, boat is good shape, trailer is in good shape, no leins, clear title and ownership papers for boat and trailer, the only problem is that the trailer although it has ownership papers, the label where the manufacturaing stamp was is gone, Ownership papers match the brand, but like I said I can't match the vin on the trailer, usually I wouldn't care about that but can I still get this trailer accross the border? or anyone now what I would have to do? How would you bring a custom boat trailer accross the border that doesn't have a tag? and because it is older than 15 years, do I still need to worry about RIV? thanks moe

Nice shooting, It's funny how a little colour on the right day makes a difference, I have run the same spoon with little results,
-
LIke steve said, last couple times out have been shaker city on spoons, bigger fish having been coming on dipsy/spin doctor/fly for me
-
Could have been the ontario record! I believe it is 16 and change, a free replica of a gar would be a nice wall edition
-
I personally like the Shimano Talora dipsy rods, little nicer rod with a lifetime warranty, for around 89.99 if you look around, 9 ft mh, reels, for the price, the magda's are serviceable but I wouldn't recommend, convector 30's are good, best reel for the money, I feel is the diawa sealine 47, good drag, reliable line counter and you can find them on sale for under a hundred. It's an expensive hobby!

td meloche monnex saved us huge over state farm, switched 2 years ago, I have a better policy with lower deductibles and this year after being with them for 2 years they dropped the rates even though we have a new car, I couldn't believe it

I drove through cayuga today and the river was almost over the bank, fast and like chocolate milk, I wouldn't venture out in a boat, but be careful if you are
-
Made home just fine, the trailer is rated for 6000lbs, the boat weighs 1875 dry, no gear and motors are approx 700lbs, so I think It won't be a problem

Hey guys, looking for some info, opinions, I was interested in a 2004 lund tyee 1950 from the US, I was going to drive down this weekend to have look, the motor is a 225 yamaha, as well as kicker, the issue is that trailer is only a single anxle and If purchased would driving approx 16hours to pick it up, Would a single axle carry the weight? Should I be worried?

A metal housing would suffice for the need to have an ic rating light wouldn't it?
-
I thought I would ask the pros around here, I am in the middle of doing a reno and am installing pot lights which are in an isulated space, the attic. I bought the metal housing and in talking to the "electrical guy" at rona, he told me I could get away with covering/taping with poly vapour barrier as opposed to 8 bucks for an inconvinient and not too practicle blue box. From what I found on the net, although ontario building inspectors like to see the "blue box", this box doesn't actually provide good vapour barrier due to its dimensions and need to push it tight around the box. I found a good article relating to alberta standards in support of using 6mm poly here http://www.airdrie.ca/building_development/pdf/Installing%20airtight%20recessed%20luminaires.pdf So should I purchase the blue boxes? I have 17 lights I installed, or should I use the poly? and I am not having these lights inspected, thanks for the help moe

New fish Ladder under Construction on the Credit
moemoe replied to aniceguy's topic in General Discussion
Between this post and the one on spoonpullers, I am trying to gain information on this subject, I am a lake troller, I wasn't in 98-02 when the stakeholders regarding this, made their laws and decisions, that being said why weren't the lake trollers asked, supposedly there are future meetings regarding this and i will do by damnest to be at those meetings, What I do find odd is there is not one opinion stating, "please leave steelhead and chinooks out the upper credit", on this board and spoonpullers, there is a 100% unison from members and posters to open up the river to all species. I do find it to be odd that there is more segrated opinion open to to allow steelhead access to all parts of the river but not chinook, because steelhead are a foreign species but have been a foreign species for longer. It's like the insurance company commercial that when one new kid wants some ice cream, he is told no, but the new kid who is "new..er" is asked chocolate or vanilla, and here it is -
The inside drum of a dryer, makes a great fire pit on the ice, 2 on top of each other is better yet

Steve, thanks for clarifying, I do realize and appreciate all the work that the volunteers played in running ringwood, I do think the volunteers and time and dedication they give are THE most important part of the successful operation of ringwood. I was unaware of the exact issues with the feed and thanks for bringing that to light, my error, I guess was lumping together the processes of the ofah with the MEA team. I am dissappointed to here of a 20% cut off the top, seems like a steep tax, thanks for taking the time to clarify, moe

I am enlightened, I didn't realize the hst scmoozle was written to businesses as well, you can my $300 back in heartbeat to get rid of the tax -
I love salmon fishing, and although not a member of ofah, I believe they did an admirable job running ringwood the last 5 years, I am deeply saddened that they chose not to continue there involvement in ringwood. Improved feed for fingerlings and a signifigant improvement in chinook size has occurred during there involvement, the land deal sounds shady but overall a thumbs up
