  1. Condolences to you, family and friends.
  2. I can't picture going smallie fishing without tubes, green pumpkin to imitate craws and white to imitate bait fish. Drop shot? What depth do you fish? I wouldn't get locked on to one depth range, rocky areas work here, especially if they have depth changes on them. A lot of different lures will catch them, the key is finding them, they also tend to stick to the same seasonal spots.
  3. http://www.muskokawaterweb.ca/images/mnr/groom_lake.pdf You have a lot of water up there to keep track of. http://www.muskokahuntsvillerealestate.com/HuntsvilleandSouthAlmaguinLakes.ubr

  5. Cool, and great pic! I had no idea their back had sharp points. Monsters of the deep?
  6. Had a lot of good days fishing in crappy weather, hot or cold, but rapid changes? No, always liked a stable weather pattern.
  7. Did you get the cold front overnight? It's like a 15 degree difference here from yesterday.
  8. For what is is worth, my opinion only and I haven't fished now for years. I can't recall one instance when I can blame a poor outing on fish being able to see my line, and like 90% of the time I used original Stren, from 8 to 20 pound test. If the bite was bad using a fluorocarbon line like Prime didn't seem to help much if at all.
  9. LOL, he is waiting for you to fix him a shore lunch!
  10. LOL, it's a nice thought, but dad knows his limitations! My fishing days are over!
  11. Well it seems like they are working to make it a smooth transition?
  12. Sterling, they make that boat in a side console model, as I recall Lew from the board had one. Every boat mfg probably makes a similar boat, I had a Smokercraft 17 pro angler, but it was a 1987 and only 73 inches wide, that extra foot plus wider on newer boats of the same style makes a huge difference.
  13. Actually it looks like a jet ski trailer to me?
  14. Tiller or side console?
  15. LOL, I can't recall nearly as many reasons for cancelling school when I was young! Almost October, and it's been the hottest week of the " summer ".
  16. jimmer, they have some area schools closed here today because of the heat wave, I can imagine going into an attic might feel like crawling into a roaster today!
  17. LOL Dutch, there is a channel off one of Lake Erie's bays here, maybe 100 - 150 feet wide, the bay has a state park in it, marinas, homes, launching ramps, and it's the only way in or out to the lake, parade grounds! Nothing special to look at, maybe 1000 feet long with rip-rap on both sides, and the bass stack up in it at times, the boat traffic doesn't seem to bother them at all. Had to stay close to the rip - rap to stay out of boat traffic's way, but you had a cheering section when you boated a fish! LOL
  18. Nice pics! The tree lines here have more color than those do, don't ask me how like 4 days in a row here of record breaking or tying heat. Boat traffic is hit or miss on some lakes, sometimes it stirs things up enough to help the fishing.
  19. My first thought when I saw the picture also, even with a light motor the transom area will take a pounding when trailer-ed.
  20. Float, just from what I see on wiki that is a pretty small one, I can only imagine how long a 150 - 250 pound one would keep you busy for? LOL, no credit to me, i am sure fishing for them was her guys idea!
  21. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-storage-parking/mississauga-peel-region/20-40-sea-storage-shipping-containers-for-sale-rent/579577699 https://www.google.com/search?q=where+to+buy+a+shipping+container+in+the+Mississauga%2C+ON+area&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 They seem to be available in your area, will the zoning laws of your intended location allow one? Since it is for an air cadet squadron you might get a break or donation of one? I am not sure how they would deliver one outside of a facility meant to deal with them, every time I picked one up they used a crane or huge outdoor forklift to place it on the transport frame. You could try calling some of the listed sellers and trying for a deal?
  22. Start slow and get used to it.
  23. LOL, usually anything that pulls real hard here is a carp! I have eaten shark fillets, Mako I believe, it wasn't bad. She lives about as far from the Big O and Stick Marsh as I do from Cedar Point, if i could get around I know where I would be visiting!
  24. I am just guessing, but I doubt that only one light has it's own fuse - circuit breaker, electrical outlets nearby working?
