Awesome TJ,
I didn't think bow hunting for moose was that effective until I saw that video. Okay, now I'm really going to find time to take the hunter's ed course.
Thanks for sharing!!!
My original avatar with a 22lb chinook was caught 4 lb P-line fluoro spooled on a spinning reel and a noodle rod. Fish was tailed not netted.
Maybe I was just lucky?!!
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to wish all those who are celebrating the Chinese Mid Autumn festival tonight a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
For those who don't know this is the second biggest date of the year after Chinese New Year. It's like Thanksgiving here in North America.
The moon will usually be the largest and most colourful of the year (like an egg yolk). Good for fishing too!!!!
Have a Safe and Happy one!!

Japan has other native fish (like Ayu and some small trout species) that have better tasting fish and don't grow to large sizes. The bass are the invasive species.
Nice thread, something different.
Well, mine is a picture of a hand tied fly I did after getting the urge to make something when I couldn't get out to fish.
I'm speechless, what a report!
Thanks for sharing the memories and the fish porn!
(Especially for those of us that haven't been able to get out much this year!)

HD is correct, there is definitely bass in Japan. Fished Biwa Lake and it had black bass (not too sure if there is any difference between them and the largies here).
Wow, I wouldn't have minded that incidental catch, although it was fouled hooked (as you mentioned), it still would have been one to mark off my list of fish caught!
