  1. Hi Christopher K, what presentations did you try?
  2. Great fish fight! thanks for sharing.
  3. Hi Everyone, Not my dog, but one that I have had the pleasure to meet. Token is a beautiful pure bred Samoyed that is very friendly and well trained. He even knows how to vocalize "hello" in his doggy accent. He is currently number 2 and was at number 1 a couple of days ago, Token needs your vote if you have the time. I recall seeing Maureen's dog up there as well and have also clicked him as well as all dogs can get a vote each day. http://fidocastingcall.ca/dog/1656720496/ Thanks, Stanley
  4. is camping at balsam.

  5. Thanks LMT and FGP, I was staying closer to Cambridge, so I tried a few spots on the Grand between where I was staying and up to Kitchener. Water was super low and fairly stained (not sure if that was normal for the area). First spot was at a conservation park area off fountain st south near Blair Rd, too shallow not even a follow or nip for the short 30 mins I was there (Tues evening). I was casting surface lures for this trip. Next morning out at 6am and next area was the top of the dam near the Cambridge Fish In park, saw carp but had no hits. Tried 3 spots in the park. Last area I could try was in Kitchener off Bloomingdale N. Shallow water and many water fowl, no luck. I had a meeting in the morning at 8am so I had to pack it in and get back to the meeting site. Perhaps next time I'm there I have more luck. Thanks, Stanley
  6. Hi everyone, I'm down in Kitchener area later today and tomorrow and am thinking of bringing my rod to wet the line a bit. Any restrictions to fishing in the kitchener area right now and where might I be able to wet a line from shore? Please PM me. Stanley
  7. Truly sad news, my condolences to his family and friends.
  8. ...dang,...spilt drink and need to clean off the monitor now, note to self, do not read this thread while drinking water...LOL
  9. Was out late yesterday in 85 FOW at IBP, 5 inches of black ice with 1 inch of white on top of it. Only to manage few 8" perch and a herring. All but one perch survived to be caught another day. The one that didn't was the one I brought up too quick and I think it got the "bends", it went belly up in the hole and never made it back down.
  10. I do recall somewhere that a baited treble hook counts as more than one hook. However, you should be okay with the single hooked sabiki rigs as long as you don't exceed the 4 hook limit.
  11. Just glad to hear you are alright Chuck.
  12. I see, then it's a no-no. Thanks posting the pics.
  13. Looks like you should set a trap for the canines. Look like nice pelts on them. However, it would look a bit challenging for the traps not to seize up or get frozen over the foot plate. Happy new year and happy trapping! P.s. I still haven't even registered my trapping license as I haven't determined an area yet. Stan
  14. How far from Whistler are you?

  15. Congrats on the PB! Looks like an awesome fight. Curious, what are you using flies? Roe?
  16. Happy Birthday Rick!
  17. Oh by the way, it's fishing from shore.
  18. Hi everyone, I'm going to be down around Niagara on the Lake area for a seminar and was hoping to see where the best places to have a chance of wetting the line for a couple of hours later today. I don't fish that area at all and would like a little help. Please PM me any suggestions. And if you're around there fishing please let me know so I can come by and say hello. Thanks, Stan
  19. Sorry to hear about the hunt today. At least you saw some real wildlife. I've been out for bow hunting a couple of time and only seen squirrels from the tree stand.
  20. I met Shane once about 5 years ago when I had just got back into ice fishing. Definitely a great guy, he even went out of his way to try and locate my short lived portable hut that got blown away one January spring thaw. Shane, may you rest in peace, you will be missed by many. Stan
  21. Nice long and dark bow!
  22. Sad to hear, my condolences to his family and friends.
  23. Got my first antlerless tag (first time hunting). Looking forward at the opportunity in the fall.
  24. Welcome to the board Evan.
