  1. My guess is it falls under the regular regs unless it's cleared by MNR. I don't know the procedures but do know that it is possible as I've been to a club that has privately stocked trout (via the proper transportation of fish permits) and does not have to follow the OMNR regs with no fishing license required as well by registered club members and their guests. Falls under commercial trout pond I guess. (really only a guess).
  2. WTG Emil, that smile definitely says it all. So what was the name of the lure? Stan
  3. Dano, I was wondering if there is any shore fishing allowed there? I had heard that it was by rental electric / paddle boat only. I'm supposed to be up there May 1st (evening) and May 2nd for a work related seminar. I've got a couple of hours open on May 1st night and 1.5 hr opening on Friday the 2nd in the aft. I'm bringing my fishing gear just in case I do get an opportunity to scoot out to fish. PM me if you want to meet up on the 1st. Stan
  4. UF, I gotta feeling that using a pink trout worm might work against me if the CO came by to chat. Shrimp?! I'm thinking that's luxury food for them, I'm thinking cheap of course. Worms picked up off the road when it was wet is going to be my bait.
  5. Okay, I'm looking to gather info on where the best sucker fishing spot would be. I'd like to target some channel cats later on and would like to get some cut bait for it. Seeing that nobody much cares for these coarse fish, I'll like to target them on some small rivers. Yeah, I know about the thread with about CO's checking so I will use my 6' rod with worms just to make sure I don't tick off any steelie anglers. Wouldn't removing some suckers from the rivers help with the trout's survival chances? Looking for a spot within 45 min of Markham. PM if you wish to keep it secret LOL. Stan
  6. Good luck to you and your family PF on your move and new job. We'll be waiting to see your southern reports soon.
  7. Atlantic salmon? My guess. Nice looking fish none the less. Good job.
  8. Another great report Mike! It's always a good to see your posts but I feel sorry for those without high speed internet with all your fish porn pics up LOL! Too bad the weather didn't hold up for one more day for ya but you did get into some great fishing!
  9. Miniture versions would be great in an aquarium and would keep the guests busy!
  10. Happy Birthday Jen! Hope you have a great one.

  12. It's a toss up for me, jerky (beef or pork or even sometime turkey) or the easy route of Piller's hot pepperoni. Dang, now I'm getting hungry.
  13. Happy Birthday Carole, I hope it was a great one and a great evening to finish as well. Stan
  14. Welcome and remember pictures help with the posts
  15. Nice, I'll have to keep that in mind the next time I think about going abroad for fishing.
  16. Got me too, I was all ready to give you the congrats.
  17. If you're eating good sushi there's no slime. Now would the fish's slime have more bacteria or the person who's sliming the fish have more??!! We might be endangering the fish's health with a slimy kiss.
  18. Another awesome report and read Drew! Just like Cliff did, I left this one until I knew I had time to read it all in one sitting without the kids. Absolutely stellar of a report, I lived the report through your eyes and typed words. Until the next report, good health and good fishing!
  19. If classified by lake, the bog has me beat for 3 years straight on the ice (about 6 outings and 0 fish). Even got skunked with a few guys that said they knew where the fish were.
  20. I was about to say "Keiko" is a girl's name (in Japanese anyways). Now the question becomes, will it hatch? Good of you to spend the time for the feathered friends.
  21. I've tied some flies on a jighead in the past and did well with it until my bad head cement job gave up after about 20 or so fish (all small). Some patterns above have peaked my interest as well, I think I'll try and tie some up to give it a go too.
  22. MJL beat me to it, I was just thinking about suggesting to coat the heads a bit more, they seem to be exposed a bit for toothy fish. MJL, those are some nice flies as well. Now, I think I'm going to take my vise out and tie some flies if I can get some quiet time here. Thanks for the posts.
  23. Encouraging news Rick, the first step to recovery sounds to be on its way. Best wishes are still in mind.
  24. Doh! I knew I should've asked earlier. Although Temagami is a bit too far for a single nighter trip.
