Thanks everyone....it's just a Go Pro HD and mounts to canoe
-
Last weekend the wife and I decided to explore some new areas north of the Napanee with the canoe. The weather was absolutely beautiful, but the horse/deer flies were NASTY . I caught a bunch of OOS smallies (sorry but I left out all video of Smallmouth) while searching for splake, the water was gin clear with no weeds. I took some video of our trip... hope you enjoy. Well it's been a long time coming, our annual trip WAY NORTH where the wildlife is abundant and the fish big (except this year) lol... I normally write up a nice long report but this year I decided to take video footage to edit and share with you guys. Hope you enjoy...we sure did!!! I was a little nervous when I realized how close I was to that bear....my wife was freaking on my , not the smartest thing I've done but the wind was perfect....to get within 30-35ft Jason P.S.-How to you provide the above link to the video on Youtube with the actual video showing up on OFC, simply click and play? Can't seem to figure it out and I know it's relatively simple I'm sure!!!

I haven't posted in while, but this touched me in several ways. First off, congrats, I just celebrated 9 years in NA and god willing hopefully a few more. I remember back then weighing 95lbs soaking wet, no where to live, no food, no friends, no family....nothing...just a empty walking skeleton of a human being. Somehow I didn't manage to die or overdose and went to rehab for over 15 months, it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but the best thing I have ever done. Today things are TOTALLY different, got married, friends and family, house, good job and lots of toys, but most of all I have come to find some peace and serenity (from within) which for me is the most important thing. I never want to go back P.S.- On a brighter note- It is hard to find fisherman (in the program), so I would really like to meet other recovering people who like to fish. I would like to extend an open offer to any one who would like to join me for a fishing trip. Cheers Jason

Buy it!!! Just the anchor feature is worth it. It's amazing and accurate. One day I was out on Rice Lake at the railway bed recording my track during the day...so I could return at night to fish. As I was going along I saw a lure stuck to a log....thinking that I should stop and grab it, but I didn't want to stop recording my track so I just left it. The next day I came back, hit the track feature on the remote, about 1.5km later while the boat was SAFELY driving through the railway, the lure appears again...I hit the anchor feature, grabbed the lure and continued on my way. Just buy it...it's a game changer. Just be careful not to hit the "Rabbit" button, I almost through myself out of the boat when she kicked in!!lol I have about 6km worth of tracking recorded for Rice lake....it's awesome. I drive close to my spots with the big motor, kill the engine, and select which route I want A, B, or C and the boat does it's thing...simply amazing. If anyone ever wants a demonstration comes spring time...give me a shout. I would be more than happy to. Cheers Jason

Your more than welcome anytime buddy....It'll be cool doing some overnight weekends in a heated hut. Not actually building it until spring/summer...still searching for that honey hole (crappie) on rice lake. I have found some crappie, but not consistent enough YET!!!

Well I've finally decided to build myself a nice big ice bungalow. Where can I buy the exterior 4x8 metal sheets that I want to cover the bungalow in, including roof material. I work for a builder and have access to all the wood, insulation, poly, door, windows, electrical etc. I've checked Lowes, Rona, Home Depot and trying to find out what the best exterior material to use. I could use roofers ply, but I'm trying to save weight!!! Anyone got any ideas or know of places to purchase such material in the Durham Region (Oshawa/Courtice/Bowmanville) area? Trying to figure out a cheap/light/durable solution. Thanks Jason
