  1. Does he know you speak of him in this manner I would only trust them as far as you can throw them
  2. Gotta agree with you. Gilmour is one of a kind. I love the classic rock guitarists...Gilmour, Van Halen, Lifeson, Rik Emmett, Steven Stills .....but one of my favorites is Joe Satriani.
  3. You have a PM
  4. Any OFC members looking for work as an Electronics Technician in the Oakville area? Know of anyone who is? If so, please PM me and I will provide details. Thanks, HG
  5. Up until recently I worked for 5 years as a technician in the cleaning equipment industry where battery operated scrubbers needed service. 99% of the time when the batteres failed it was due to improper maintenance. The #1 cause of failed batteries is allowing them to sit in a state of discharge for ANY amount of time. The longer the time, the worse the sulfation (hardening of chemical causing it to adhere to the plates). Even a brand new battery that has been fully discharged only once can sulfate. It is imperative that batteries are fully charged after every use (as mentioned earlier in this thread). If you do this.......your batteries will last you a very long time. Oh and to answer your question....bottled water is not okay. It must be distilled. If you don't have distilled, boil water for 10 minutes, allow it to cool and then fill your batteries. Boiling the water will remove any impurities and reduce the chance of sulfation. HG

  8. try a product called Resolve (spray bottle). If possible get a wetvac and soak the carpet with water and or chemical and suck it up. Repeat several times. Best advice is get to it as fast as possible.
  9. Two elderly men are sitting on a park bench. One turn to the other and says "I just got a brand new hearing aid....cost me $500.00" The 2nd man says "really...what kind is it". The 1st man looks at his watch and says " half past 3"
  10. I'm sorry what did you say?
  11. I used to play video games..............then I turned 14. (just kidding....well not really)
  12. A friend of mine pointed this one out to me.......in the Niagara Falls phone book. First name: Harry..... last name: Hiscocks.... but in the phonebook it's last name first...first name last.
  13. I'm in the area this week for work and plan to stop in on my way home. Anyone been there? Can I expect to find gear at better prices than in Canada. Just to avoid any backlash, until now in my 30 years of purchasing gear.....100% of my purchases have been at Canadian retailers. Thanks in advance. HG
  14. One more thing.......while you're there, if you drop you're fishing gear, just kick it in the hole and go buy a replacement.
  15. If the guy on the snow machine shows up again, tell him "You're just in time. We just used our last worm" and than give a glance "below". That should scare him off!
  16. I've got a solution for you. Whenever my wife goes on a shopping trip.....I just call and report my cards stolen.
  17. I'm next door in Winona next to the lake. Similar scene. I heard the thunder yesterday as well during all that snow and was in disbelief. Anyone remember the blizzard of '77? I was 7 years old and living in Chippawa (just outside of Niagara). Although the winds were much more severe than what we had yesterday....I don't think there was as much snow.
  18. Great pics by the way. Make me realize I work too much!
  19. Spending your day perusing fishing gear...$0.00 Walking out with a free vest ...$0.00 Looking for justification on this forum...$0.00 Returning to the store and clearing your conscience ...PRICELESS! (Just being a wise donkey.......but seriously I agree with other it's not worth the bad Karma)
  20. For those of us without smart chargers, just a friendly reminder. Maybe time to give them another boost. Wet-lead acid batteries lose 10% of their charge per month (on average). This will be higher with older batteries.
  21. mmmmmmm....perch filtes! Nice catch and humerous report as always!
  22. Mouse S&M...no mice were hurt in the making of this picture!
  23. This joke was on here many years ago. I had saved it in my work email folder and forgot about it. Well a few weeks ago I found it and sent it to several people. Can't help but wonder if that is what lead to this post. You know how emails get passed around.
  24. Glad to hear he got his funds back. How ironic is it the ATM was outside a donut shop?
