  1. If you hit bronte give me a call when your done and I'll meet you for a beer. I work till 4:30. Good luck
  2. A musky is a musky no matter what body of water your on. Pick colours with water colour and light conditions in mind
  3. Now that seems to make way more sense than bringing the fish to shore. As awsome as it would be to see a fish of that size up close and live I dont think its worth the risk of moving fish all day.
  4. Not sure what your asking for? Set up for shore fishing, boat, down riggers?
  5. I have dipsy divers but im not a fan. Im looking to troll the 18-23 foot shelf no deeper
  6. I cant imagine there are any kill musky torneys or live wells to do the job.
  7. I remember last year fishing from the pier and seeing a guy out on a kayak was that you?
  8. Man!!!!! Seeing alot of big fish this year. Cant wait to see more pics of that fish. Question? How did that fish end up in a tank on shore?
  9. My wife is due to give birth by August 27 so musky fishing is on hold till the fall. Im looking to do some fishing that I can still be close to home (Mississauga) and after reading some recent posts of the salmon run maybe starting early this year due to lower temps and higher waters I was wondering if it was worth trolling around the tribs. I dont have downriggers so id be flat lineing spoons and jointed raps in hopes of hitting some stageing salmon or trout. It will be nice to get out on the water and give it a shot but was just wondering if I was way off.
  10. Looking at that guys gear 7 foot med action rod probably 20lbs test tops id really like to hear the story of how he landed that fish. Im sure it didnt fit in his little bucket nut. Crazy fish. Hope its still swimming.
  11. The ones that get way are sometimes as good or better than the ones we land. The broken rod if you still have it would make a great wall mount. Lol!! Jenn is ready to have the baby any day so I'm land locked for the next few weeks. Congrats again on some big fish.
  12. Musky and thunder makes my heart beat like a drum.
  13. Must be nice to be so casual boating monster fish. Lol good job Mark and keep em coming.
  14. If your Heading up north keep in mind the saftey kit is only $9.99 at Canadian Tire a store you will find in almost any town. Save your self some money.
  15. Short and stiff is best but anything will work.
  16. If your looking at buying a new boat use the search tool for this board. I went through this at the begining of the season and got tones of help from the guys on this board. My advice: post the boat specks ie. length, width, make, year, motor hp and year and price aksed- Guys with a good idea of what the boat is realy worth will pipe in. Take it to a marina for a good look over and compression test. If the current owner is not ok with that walk away. This is a good start and im sure you will get the rest of your questions answered as they come up.
  17. Think before you put some strangers nuts in your mouth.
  18. Great work! Thats alot of big fish.
  19. Etobicoke just had what seemed like a hurricane roll through. Hope nobody is caught out on the water in this storm.
  20. My buddy was just as excited as I was, he put on a simular bucktail and ended up missing a 40+ fish about 50 feet down the shore line. Hoping to get out again next week.
  21. Nice fish!!! That is one well fed fish. I cant imagine what she will look like in the fall. Congrats.
  22. Cameron has a public launch in Fenlon falls
  23. I used this as a guide for many years but it does miss alot of main spices in quite a few lakes that I can see after a quick look. Also I can understand why musky would not be on a fish eating guide but it would be helpful to rec anglers looking for new/less pressured lakes.
  24. Next day after a good night of celebrations we hit the water again around noon. It was hot sunny and flat so we worked some deeper, bigger rock reefs that had some weeds on and around it. This time I was using my go-to vibrex and the fish hit in about 10 fow on a medium retrive. Another good fight and once again the bucktail comes flying out as its entering the net.
