Just finished with the marine guy from the insurence company. He said to have a marina do an estimate done for the whole job, motor, cables ect. Any marina sugestions would help. Hopefully this dose not drag out and I can get back out on the water before the season ends.
-
Pics added. I have a marine guy coming tomorrow to asses the damage done to the boat from the butcher job.

It was taken Erinmills and 403. I appreciate you keeping an eye out. I just got back from making a police report. A good tip going forward was to take down serial the numbers for your gps, trolling motor, fish finders ect in the rare case of recovery. Man I feel low.

If thats a 50lb fish those guys must be like 5 foot tall! LOL! Great point Fil. What a fish!

Now I feel stupid for spending $20 on a musky lure

I have been storing my boat in my sisters building underground this summer and when I went to pick up my boat today I find an empty spot where my motor used to be. Damn!!!!! It was a 90hp Evanrude tracker 92-93. I have insurence on the boat but im sure this will still cost me a bundle. Also my gps with navionics chip and fish finder consols are gone. These guys must have known what they were doing to pull this job off. The engine weighs 300lbs, cables, wires, bolts under the deck, ugh! So far I have checked kijiji and craigslist looking for my motor but no luck. If anyone can think of other places I should look or advice for the process ahead would help. Thanks Steve Im not 100% on the year The carnage

I only say upgrade hooks after a loosing a big fish two weeks ago that bent out the 3/0 or 4/0 hooks on my 10" storm swim bait. From now on 6/0 minimum for me.
-
Bigger lip and bigger hooks would be my suggestion. Nice looking bait!

Did my test last week. I searched boater card and found an old link that let me do the test for $25

Well I havent got out much this year but when I have the fishing has been good for size and numbers. This was to be the first trip out with the boys after the birth of my daughter on September 2nd and we were off to the Kawarthas for two days of musky hunting. The first morning started out as always, hung over and motor problems so we spent the morning working the shallows with the electric and only a single follow to show. Right before lunch the wind picked up so we gave the motor another try and after re-attaching the fule line she started no problem. The lake we were fishing was pretty new to us so we decided to troll to find mid water structure and it payed off. After 10 mins fish on! Small guy but a good start, hit a 9" storm swim bait 3.5mph in 16 fow I guess no matter how small the fish you need to pay attention!! To my horror and my buddys delight the fish clamped down on my stray thumb. Lucky my buddy got the plyers before she shook her head and did real damage. As we made a wide turn to come back around to the same spot Fish on!! This time it was white007's rod. Again 3.5mph 16 fow but this time a jointed depth raider. Third pass and fish on again!!! Good fight for its size. Storm bait produces again. The later of the day was filled with lost fish including one fish straitening out the large gauge musky hooks on my swim bait and another 40 plus inch fish fully breaching the water chasing a weed filled lure skipping along the top of the water 6-7mph awesome!!!!! Next day was sunny and flat but we did move one fish on a bucktail that hit on a throw back. Turned out a great trip. I need to buy a new storm swim bait after loosing the tail. Ill be upgrading the hooks for sure.

Follows count and also weeds that feel heavy. Lol. Memories are better than pics anyways. Congrats on the big ski! Can Tire has a decent fin saver net for $59 that's cheap In the world of musky fishing. -
Great stuff Andy!! To stop the skis from jumping and spitting out your lure keep your rod tip down and when the fish comes close to the surface put your rod strait down into the water right up to your reel. Jumps are great fun with the small guys but when you have that monster on dont take the chance. btw you should get some more sun your face is looking a little pail lol!

I'll take it!!!!! Hope you havent gave it away already. Just had a baby girl and musky fishing has been on hold all month. A day on LSC would be a great make up. Steve

I took my wife out this summer to the lodge I usually go to with my buddys. Wake up in the morning, head down to the dock and of course there is 6 young girls laying on the dock in thier bikinis. Whats the luck....
-
LOL!!!! What woman in her right mind goes after fisherman. We take off with our buddys every chance we get only to come back days later smelling like camp fire, booze and fish.
