If that is where the provincial park is ...small pike some bass, panfish. A very populated lake on the downturn.

Restoule holds more than just bass. There are lake trout, muskie, pike, and a good population of Walleye. We camped there last year and had a blast . One tip...if you are looking for Walleye then get yourself some leeches. They love them.

My brother will make his return to pro MMA on June 20
sirfish replied to steverowbotham's topic in General Discussion
Sorry if I upset you Steve, but, This is a public forum and I am entitled to my opinion and for good reason. I worked with a guy who was fighting while also working cause it didn't pay the 30+$ an hr he was getting. He took a couple of hard shots one night at the base of his skull and above the ear. Within hours he was showing the signs . He now is off on total disability. His balance is gone and he slurs severly and is angry all the time. His kids have now lost thier dad or at least the dad they knew. Just doesn't add up. I wish your brother well. -

Let us all know how great of a sport it is after your brother takes too many shots to the head and starts slurring his speech. There is a huge list ,and growing of fighters both pro and amateur that have suffered irrepairable brain damage . Will your brother be just another statistic? I hope not. The money doesn't justify the result. IMO. -
Question.......my drain pipe along with many of my friends drain pipes just goes into the floor. Is this ok ? Obviously it must be as it is a standard practice .What do employed HVAC people on here think.

Where would I take a 15ft fiberglass hull for disposal in toronto??
sirfish replied to a topic in General Discussion
1200lbs for a 15ft boat, You have got to be joking. It would have to be made of steel to be that weight. I took my 15ft 1965 monroe fibreglass, which came in at 300lb and cut it into 1ft pieces with sawsall and took it to the dump, no problems. -
Wow you thought Haldimand was overpriced?? They are one of,if not, the best priced car lots in the niagara penninsula. Check thier history, also you will be hard pressed to find a dissatified customer. That is the first place that comes to mind when someone wants a used car. They sell on average 30+ vehicle each day. Gotta be doing something right.

Hey Rick, try calling Claude Desrochers in Welland 905 899-3654 He does awesome work at reasonable prices. My mounts are 12yrs and looking good.

Once you cross the Queenston /lewiston bridge get on the Robert moses parkway and follow downstream to lewiston and go to the bait/tackle down at the rivers edge. Here is the link http://www.outdoorsniagara.com/a1bait.htm Hope this helps. good fishing.

buggers...at the risk of sounding racist, one word RESERVATION Local law enforcement have told me that 99% of them end up there along with all your new pickups. Friend took a photo over the Brantford reserve last year and it was littered with trucks in various stages of disassembley. Sorry for the loss , hope you had insurance up to date

After reading about another litlle dust-up between a guide service operator and a recreational board member this daunting question comes to mind once again. Should Guiding service operators have thier own self promoting collumn here where they can share thier day on the water with clients and should they be a paying board sponsor . IMO ......Yes. Most post here for one reason only..personal gain What do you think?

Nice looking boats. Heard nothing but good things so far. FYI....Gander mountain in Buffalo has the 17 1/2 ft sport with a 115 yammy 4stroke and all the bells and whistles for only $14,999.....thats a price drop of $5,000 !!! Sweet deal for sure. They had 3 last week. and one 20ft er i think. Easier to bring across than you think.

Hey Redsfan, you can't go wrong with MHL. Been there bout 5 times over the years caught good size walleye and pike. They should have one of the better maps of the area. I think I have one around here somewhere that is laminated. They are good people there and should take care of you and your party.

There is fishing world on Barton street. Probalby the biggest around hamilton. If you are coming from QEW then take a right on barton and its a bit down the road on your right.

Last time I checked the chev Silverado was voted truck of the year by motoring news, motor trend,J.D powers and a few others. GM invited ALL the competitors to thier testing grounds along with the media and at days end the Silverado outperformed ALL of them. Not coincidence. What is amazing is that only in the last year are we hearing of massive recalls by Toyota and the likes. Thier quality is waning in light or cheaper vehicles so as to grab a larger portion of the market share. This is a trend that will continue whereas the "big three" have had thier wakeup call and are going the other way with quality vehicles. For years they have lagged behind in the PPM defects but are quickly closing the gap on the offshore imports. IMO,I'd buy north american for this simple reason, If just one plant is shut which employs ,say 3000 people the ripple effect will put 5 times that amount out of work and one of them could be YOU.

Fished there last weekend. Water was still warm and the winds were howling. Should only get better with the colder temps. All fish were caught trolling in 65' to 110' from the lighthouse on out using planers with either leadcore or small dipseys anywhere form 250' to 400' out. A variety of stick baits were used with the big hitters being anything with yellow or perch colour. If you plan on doing some jigging I suggest you try the bay near Picton .Small jigging spoons like crocs and yellow or white jigs with twisters tipped with minnows or worms . Heres a little taste of a 10lb'er on of many that were caught by our group ...enjoy

Gerritt one thing you should know. The vinyl that home depot sells is NOT marine grade . As I said before your local auto trim shop should be able to get the proper stuff for you. If you do the job right then you should not have to worry about the wood breathing. It will seal it to the wood airtight. The only way you are going to get rot will be if you keep it outside and about 4 inches of water in it, and I don't think that will happen. I replaced the wood in a transom about 10 years back and it still looks the same today as it did when I put it in ,but it is never left outside except when fishing and travel , so it all depends on how you store it i guess. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Hey Gerritt, I got my vinyl at the local auto trim shop. Most should be able to get it. Its the marine grade and ran about $120 for 18 running feet , 6ft wide. I also went to a local A-1 flooring and they made me up a banded carpet that I can snap into the boat when tubing or out for a cruise. hope this helps.

Awesome report. You by chance weren't at Lac Des Mil lodge were you?

Hey Aaron ,Ive been waiting to see the pic of that beast. We met at the boat lauch a couple of times( wheel bearing in the rain) ,to bad we didn't have better weather I would have loved to pound the muskies with you. Found out the last day there that the walleye were sweet on jig and leech combo, go figure . I tried almost every thing I know and still only got 4, but better than being skunked. There seemed to be a good population of smallies on the lake and managed one small largey. I marked fish at all depths over that lake and I'm certain had we had good weather for the week we would have done much better. I have to hit it again maybe in the fall ( no kids this time) After talking with the owners of Martins and listening to thier accounts I think Restoule or stormy have the potential to produce a world record muskie. Nice to see you and the missus made it home safe....Thom

Wow lots of scout brothers here. Proud member of 22nd niagara cubs,17th niagara scouts and 1st niagara rovers. Those were some great times. Went to Haliburton first time in 73 and last time as leader in 83. Learned some great life lessons . Still have my original scout handbook, My leader even looked like Baden Powell to boot. Its not the same today . You can't do anything with the kids without fear of reprisals if one gets hurt. We used to go on campouts with a weeks notice ,now there is so much red tape the kids rarely go anywhere. The kids of today will never be as prepared as we were back then....what a shame.
