  1. I have a 22 X 50 driveway and last spring I priced out asphalt and concrete......guess what the concrete was slightly above the price of the asphalt because of the price of oil....AND as an added bonus he quoted me $1500 for my 16x16 patio and a 4ft wide walkway the lenght of my garage. Total $6500 sumolies...unfortunately they are not in your area ,sorry. But well worth checking out both.
  2. For braid I always have a 5 ft fleuro leader spliced with back to back uniknots with complete confidence. When doing this in no way is there any hinderance coming out of the rod eyes. If doing this the fleuro must be at least 2lbs stronger than the braid or it will cut through.
  3. CED8ED , Didn't want to be the first one posting on this but after numerous views I'm sure ,it seems noone has the kahoneys to reply..I wish you all the sucess in your endeavour but, putting up pics of fish that have'nt been caught at that resort by people that have'nt been to that resort would kinda be false advertising in a way..right. Even though they were caught on Nip. As I said ,I wish you all the best. I know you have to start somewhere, Start with the previous owners, they might have some pics
  4. Don't get bent Dara, Gerry is right. If daughter lived at home and went to school, her primary residence is still home because she will be back after schools out no doubt. In school means she is still a dependent. If he is footing the bill for the schooling there are other things that can be claimed also. Once it goes beyond basic IT with resp, rrsp and such it time to let the pros do it...(no I don't work in the field)
  5. Most vinyl graphics places can do them for you....at a fraction of what Lund is going to charge you for the exact same thing. Cost me $40 for both sides -starcraft SS 16 Just measure total lenght and hieght of graphic and bring a pic of them...piece of cake.
  6. I find the Mustad 3550R #12 or #10 in blood red are awesome for the jigging raps .I tie them in a stinger fashion with fleuro about an inch below. that way it hangs much like the nils master jigging rap
  7. Been looking Vin, can't seem to find the right link..GRRR . But www.iboats.com does have some info if you do a little legwork...I'll keep loooking.
  8. It has been tough fishing down there for the last month. I just didn't post anything so as to hurt the potential turnout . Glad you had a good time and I hope he raised some coin for charity.
  9. Wow ,I would say they got off real easy. It must have been thier first offence. They are supposed to be fined "per fish over the limit", all equipment confiscated ,and that would include a sled or ATV if they had one with them and if they were real pricks ..the vehicle that transported them there if they had placed them in it...They were in a good mood that day even though they were lied too.
  10. V I know there is some schematics somewhere online .I found them for my 57 . I will give it a look tomorrow.
  11. I'm trying to feel sorry for you "southerners" ...ohh wait there it is .. no just gas. Friends in N.C and V.A get 2" and it paralizes the area . . They call snow days from school with even an inkling of snow on the ground......I thought rednecks were a tough bunch . The blizzard of 77 would have shut them down for about a year.
  12. If it is a rod or just a piston its a piece of cake to do . Will probably cost you about $50 tops to do it yourself. To quote the water boy...You can do it Bobby Bouche.
  13. Either Daves huts or Steves huts on Simcoe wil not charge you for the children. I don't know if Tim has a deal though but I would definately go with him if it was my choice.
  14. Nice fish KF , but with a quick observation I surmise they were caught on possibly 4 different days ,Yes. Been way to slow down there this year compared to the last few.
  15. Me thinkst Billy-bob doesn't play well with other sporting goods retailers. The problem with Dicks is it is staffed by snot nosed know it all kids who know crap about the fish /hunting products and work there to pick up chicks.. That and the fact they have 1/100th the stock you will find at Gander.. I have always found them very knowledgable about what they sell. Also if you go armed with a price printout from BPS or Cabelas they will match if it turns out it is more expensive.
  16. 100% guaranteed that Gander Mountain will be cheaper than Dicks,BPS and Cabelas. Was there last week and the displays are now being setup for spring fishing. Take Colvin ave exit to Young st. you can't miss the sign on the pole right beside the highway. Since you are going for a week then you can import $450 in merchandise, 1 bottle of spirits or a 2-4 , 1 carton of smokes. Take advantage of it. If you need to have hassle free parking you can book it online at www.airportparkingreservations.com right across from the airport ,I use them all the time . You might even find another discount coupon online and save more.....Hope this helps ,have fun.
  17. Hey Piker...next time you visit take some leeches and fish the underwater humps that go from 50ft to about 12ft you should have success. worms and minnows caught everything but Pickeral.
  18. Restoule is one park I would definately recommend. We took kids there 2 summers back and they had absolutely the best time of all the parks we had been to (15 total) For fish we caught panfish, perch,sm bass,LM bass, pike , a laker and lots of PICKERAL !!!. Tip of the week...Make sure you have Leeches or the pickeral won't be biting. Sites we nice in size, clean, close facilities, beach with volleyball nets, trails. Boat launch needed a little work though but was usuable. There is also access to another small lake that holds Muskie. You are a 45 minute ride to North Bay if you need supplies but there is a general store about 15minutes from the park for emergency supplies and they didn't gouge you too much price wise for necessities. If I had a second then it would be Sandbanks...but good luck getting in there now.
  19. Mercers on the list . Don't know times.

    Boat mods

Look at www.iboats.com . They have forums there that will help you do it yourself.
  21. Sooooooooooooooooo, what are all the Toyota owners going to do when the problem in fact doesn't go away after the pedal replacement...oh yah, go faster. Funny, talking to a friend who works in the cambridge vacility today, he says the Streetsville CTS manufactured part is exactly the same as the one from its parent company....Hmmm and wonders why they would put it in 4million cars if it was in fact the problem, which he is very sceptical about. If it turns out this does fix the problem then its a design issue not CTS.
  22. I,m glad this thread was resurected .I almost missed it. Interesting article. But these guys have nothing on the natives of Tyenindaga Quinte region. A couple of years back they "harvested " for native consumption and ceremonial purposes an estimated 125,000 lbs of walters. One neighbours son brought back a small freezer for his own native consuption and some friends also. Too bad a small group do ruin it for those that are truly trying to keep a native heritage alive. IMO
  23. I believe Jos at anglers outfitters can fine tune them into the bottom quite nice..from what I'm told he is well versed with the Lowrance.
  24. Good on yah guys. Best catch I've seen out of Nip in a long time.
  25. Definately some nice walters there. Are you a Quinte guide?
