  1. Rich, did you actually put corns on your hook? How come only Candice caught all the big girls? Nice work! Thanks for the video, I bet you there are people in the world who would pay a lot of money to fish that spot....
  2. Congrats on the first voyage, a smooth one too. I'm not thinking about 2 rods in lake O, but if you ever want to ditch your Technium you know my number ;-) I wish I will have the chance to fish with my Dad, it's not something that comes easy. Enjoy it !
  3. Wow, that's pretty good for a few hours. Yes, that was a mirror. I also found the fish in the 2nd picture interesting. Did it have whiskers?
  4. Congratulations, buddy. I'm sure you're gonna have lots of fun with the boat. I'm sure you'll catch something in that boat... not like last Friday when... (just joking)
  5. Are people really that hungry to set a net like that? or just too stupid. Thanks for sharing the info. Please report that to MNR, the toll free number 1-877-TIPS MNR (http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_166027.html) should work from your area too.
  6. Victor, you can always leave her at home and take me instead. That would solve your problem.
  7. Wow, sounds like a great trip... not sure what else to say... you guys ROCK!
  8. No wonder we didn't catch any, you guys got them all ;-) WTG and it looks like a lot of fun was had.
  9. Actually, a lot of reports may not have actually happened (exactly as written). JohnF is just being honest... and I think that's the reason he thinks he is catching less fish. A good read, made up or real.
  10. A very nice read. I visited one of those "lakes" in my business trip to a town near Winchester (about an hour outside of London). I don't mind getting a chance to fish the "lakes". And you're right, they would be called "small ponds" here in Ontario ;-) Having to drive on the "wrong side" of the road is okay with me, but those runabouts sure almost got me killed. Imaging you have to drive on the other side of the rod, in the dark, don't forget you are sitting on the "passenger side"...and all of a sudden you are sucked in a whirlpool with cars coming in and out, in a direction that seems very wrong, and this all happens after an 8 hours flight .... total craziness... I watched those DVDs you mentioned... looking forward to your next report, and don't let me wait for too long ;-)
  11. Some nice fish there.... WTG !
  12. Rich, I believe 300% how good carp fishing can be there..... I just couldn't find a chance to go there....... and it's almost time for them to spawn now. Gees, time flies....
  13. Back to the subject though, do we really need a reason to fish more? LOL
  14. Cliff, I stopped chumming the area long ago.... Those carp need to be on a diet by the looks of things ;-)
  15. WOW........ what a job well done......
  16. Hey Rich, you have shown a lot of the "big ones" already. LOL
  17. Another nice report, the little one will be catching his own very soon I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
  18. I love carping, but I love whiskey too.... decision, decision, decision....
  19. Nice first fish, you only get one FIRST FISH and you sure beats most of our first fish. Congrats for that achievement ! That fish in Vic's avatar was around 26lb if I recall correctly, it was his PB at that time. I was the one taking that picture.
  20. Carp are suspicious fish although a lot non-carp fishermen won't agree. They don't grow to that size for no reason. If you see them clearly, they probably see you too. They won't be shy of swimming around with your presence, but they won't feed. Try the spot that you know they'd swim through but out of sight. Also, for very shallow spots, they will not feed when it's too bright. Try fishing those spots in the evening starting from an hour before dark or around first light. Also, pretending you are there fishing for other species, you often get "disappointed" catching them that way. Works for a lot of people ;-)
  21. OFC is a happy family, your posts prove that. Thanks for the read and glad things worked out great for you guys !
  22. Wow, nice read... I can almost hear the bear cracking the stick... thanks so much for sharing.
  23. Nice fish, thanks for sharing.
  24. Looks like a lot of fun, thanks for sharing.....
  25. I don't know what fish I would be (maybe a carp, so I won't be chased by a muskie after I have grown up), but I would be wondering if I were a human, what kind would I be ...
