  1. Also, there's a 4 fish limit with only 1 being over 24"....
  2. From what I've heard, Rice Lake hasn't turned over just yet... I believe it typically happens around the 50 degree mark. When it does... the fishing turns tough for a week or two, then it gets CRAZY!
  3. I'm only trolling for Walleye.... I dont do Salmon/Trout, so the Tekota 300's are perfect for what I need them for. Now...hopefully I can slow my boat down enough with a pair of drift socks! That's my next challenge! LOL
  4. Just got off the the phone with her...and got the "approval" for two Tekota's! wooooooooohooooooooooo I appreciate everyone's feedback though!
  5. That's why I'm debating on trying them out. Just not sure what they're like. Thanks for the feedback Moose!
  6. That's ideally what I want.... but the wife.....doesnt seem to agree!
  7. The gold ones are on sale right now... and I was debating getting those instead! hmmm.....
  8. I would only be using them for Walleye. Think they would hold up?
  9. Your favourite dropshot bait!
  10. Do you have a portable sonar? If so, then dropshot for sure! Locate fish on/near bottom on your graph and drop down to them.
  11. Just wondering if anyone has tried the Cabela's Depthmaster II trolling reels? Good? Junk? How do they do in the cold weather? Freezing up an issue? Thanks for any insight!
  12. AMEN! Just make sure you dont bold the product names...
  13. Doesnt seem to be any Tekota's left... I was gonna pick up 4 at that price!
  14. That would have been awesome, but still a great payday! Enjoy your trip!
  15. Looking forward to seeing some pics!
  16. Very cool! And totally off topic... but I just noticed a post on FB from a guy (onto the Gander Mountain page), that he saw a young deer get chased into a creek by a large dog, and it got caught up in the lily pads and went under. He was in his bass boat, and went over, pulled the deer out, and literally gave it CPR! he posted a picture and everything! Very cool stories!
  17. ML with 6 lb test is a fairly standard dropshot setup. As long as you have a good reel with a nice smooth drag system, it does the trick quite nicely. I havent had an issue with losing many fish due to snap offs. Just happened that it was hooked in a decent spot. I thought for sure it was gonna break off, especially as the fish got closer to the boat and made some runs and even jumped a few times. Got lucky to land it, for sure.
  18. Totally agree! If I dont tell what I got it on... I'm "one of those guys" I tell what I got it on...I'm a "spammer" Guess you can't please everyone!
  19. LOOOOOOOOOL
