Agreed. Points are too hard to come by. Anything less then 2 against team like the Islanders is not good enough.

Given how quick the refs are with the whistles, that's a bad call. Given that the ref had no idea where the puck was, that's a bad call. Given that the ref blew the whistle because he couldn't see the put and it was only after he blew the whistle that he points, that's a bad call. We also know the Leaf's never get those calls. Goal stands.

Raymond has been very useful this season, and for the money, he's a bargain even with the low cap this season. That also makes him good trade bait except that he is a ufa again this summer, he will ask for (and will get) more money and term. If the Leafs don't see him fitting in at the money he'll get then they may trade him for picks or depth. Clarkson is a solid player (at least before this season) but he got more term and maybe a little too much money. At this point the Leafs have to sit on his contract and hope he starts to turn it around and play to his role instead of his pay-scale.

I'd be more willing to pay Bolland the money than Clarkson, but now that they are committed to Clarkson they're kind of hooped on Bolland given that he has been injured.

Setting reasonable expectations is also fair. Comparing retail stores across the boarder is often a recipe for disappointment.

I don't know how much I remembered from the fac days but I would have had no problem with the 2 written tests without the course. But I've only handled lever action rifles and auto shotguns in class so that classroom part helped with that aspect of the practical exam. It is more efficient to do both wt once anyway.

And I'd trade the gold medal for 6 more games against Sweden. They were the best team Canada played this tournament.

I don't remember any serious talk about the US as medal favourite until they won a game in a SO against an awful Russian team. Don't forget that but for a disallowed goal the Russians win that game and medal talk never starts for the US. Lundqvist plays back in the net. Deflections don't get by him as much but the corners are bigger.

You appear to understand hockey better then humour. My original comment (which has you in a knot, was made before you had commented on the thread) was badly written as I acknowledged. I also attempted to more clearly make my point. Anyone worried about what has been said can read back and figure out where my frustration was directed. Lots of hockey players come from Western New York. Enjoy your Sunday.

Chicago fans have grown increasingly worried. Records show that someone using Patrick Kane's passport left the US but there is no evidence that he showed up in Sochi. In related news, Washington fans are also worried since no one has seen Ovi since the first 2minute shift of the first game. There is more concern for the Caps because during similar circumstances 4 years ago Ovi was missing for three years and sightings have been sporadic in the last year.
