  1. You can adjust your settings to correct for it.
  2. Note the dates on the letters. A letter was sent on July 12th, A response written on the 18th and was received on the 21st. From Florida to an Canadian island fish camp in 1947. No paved highways, no regular air flights. I'm not sure if you could do that short a turn around today.
  3. Great stuff. I love the French River. Was that your daughter eating the shore lunch?
  4. Not sure what to think. http://fishingtackleretailer.com/bass-pro-shops-to-buy-cabelas/ Bass Pro Shops to Buy Cabelas? FTR Staff November 5, 2015 Business Trends, Highlights 1 Tackle industry retail giant Bass Pro Shops is exploring an offer for one of its largest competitors—Cabela’s, Inc. According to a Nov. 5, report from Reuters, Bass Pro Shops is in the process of securing financing for a potential offer that would target Cabela’s. Both parties declined Reuters’ requests for comment, though shares of Cabela’s have risen by as much as 13-percent in light of the news. Both companies operate substantial, multi-million dollar direct sales and retail destination-store operations. Cabela’s, a publicly owned company, reported $1.2 billion in revenue last year: $810.6 million of that came from retail stores; $349.9 million came from direct sales. Cabela’s operates 77 brick-and-mortar stores in the United States. Bass Pro Shops is estimated by Forbes to have brought in over $4 billion in revenue last year. It ranks as one of the 100 largest privately owned companies in the country. The Springfield, MO-based giant employs some 20,000 people in 94 retail stores spread across the United States. Fishing Tackle Retailer will continue to update this story as details emerge.
  5. That'll fill the freezer.
  6. It's bleepin' TOOOONA!!!

  7. With that much traffic I'm surprised there isn't a Tims on the corner.
  8. Oil cap not on properly
  9. Any number of things. Tighten the gas cap Clean the threads on the gas cap Recent fill-up of not-so-good gas? Near empty gas tank with condensation in it due to cool/cold temps. etc, etc etc
  10. CZ Mallard in 20 gauge. Second season using it.
  11. Busy times lately but I made it out Friday for a hunt. Saw more and flushed more driving than I did walking but did manage 2 birds. My brother went out earlier in the week before the storm and got his limit for the first time in at least 15 years he figures. Numbers seem to be up this year.
  12. It will be even worse next week. Drivers and pedestrians both need to be careful. Pedestrians pay for their mistakes, and other's, with their lives.
  13. The higher ups at rogers stepped in it last off season when they bungled at least 2 other attempts to replace Beaston (Whitesox and Orioles). That, and AA not likely having the authority to make some moves going forward because of the new guy from Cleveland meant he'd rather move on and wait for the right situation. From his previous deals we know he's got a big set and he knows what he wants. This upper management wasn't it. Damn.
  14. Some of us are sure.
  15. And CNN says: Thank goodness we have something to cover.
  16. Tough to beat fins 'n feathers.
  17. That's great T.J. How do the bird numbers look to you this year?
  18. It's not a Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) world for most of us anymore. There are enough barriers to hunting as is. If I'm going to bring my kids with hunting, I've got either Saturday or Sunday as an option.
  19. Imagine not being able to hunt your own property because it's Sunday? The OFAH member hunting county forests is another issue.
  20. The good of the one outweigh the good for the many eh?
  21. That bad. Colossal mistakes.
  22. Received this email from OFAH today and figured I'd pass it along here: Please be advised that on Monday October 26, 2015, the Township of Tiny will be holding a council meeting to discuss the potential adoption of Sunday gun hunting. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers located at 130 Balm Beach Road West, Tiny, Ontario. The meeting will start at 9:00am. A representative from the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) will be attending this council meeting. We would appreciate, and welcome any OFAH member or fellow hunters who would be able to attend this meeting in support of Sunday gun hunting within the Township of Tiny. If you are unable to attend this meeting, but would still like to show your support and have your voice heard, please send an email to [email protected] (Laura Russell, Senior Administrative Coordinator). We would also respectfully ask that you copy OFAH head office on your email at [email protected] (Brian McRae, OFAH Zone/Member and Club Services Liaison). It is extremely important for all hunters to attend this meeting to show their support for the additional hunting opportunities that Sunday gun hunting within the Township of Tiny would provide. We appreciate your support and assistance on this matter.
  23. ...That the reform party has to beardown and take it with the Fords in the last days? Win or lose they own everything they've done.
  24. I still haven't looked it up, maybe I'll use someone else's computer.
